Anyway, it was just a family (that is, extended family) trip. A little more than a get together, it was basically one side of the family getting together and touring Washington DC. Since my uncle was in charge of charting our way through DC, I didn't get much of the Metro experience, so I didn't catch on. I'm sure if I had actually looked at the maps and stuff I would've been fine.

I have an essay that I need to do right now and I'm stuck.

I think it's almost time to pack up and go to work. It looks like I'll have to drive home 4 hours (well probably 5 hours now) in the rain. It always takes longer when the weather is acting up.

Four or five hours? Is your workplace far away, Hikaru-sensei? Sounds like your job's out of state or something.

That particular job was far away from where I live, but normally it only takes about 10 minutes for me to drive to work. Fairly often I have to travel to do field work, in fact I have to take another trip tomorrow. The flight out is at 6am. I'm thinking that's a bit too early for normal people to start work. T_T

I'm thinking that the site has permissions to pull from a database where your information is stored. Just like your account here lets you pull post information from a database on henheart.com even though no one but the site admin can access the database directly.

I'm also thinking that the Army is treading thin ice by making such info publicly viewable. Maybe you should talk to a lawyer about it?

The new place you're going to sounds like a little improvement anyways. Driving around in snow and ice can be really dangerous if the roads aren't cleared off well.

I might be a little too severe when I delete someone's posts but I think that everyone who knows me would understand that to get banned by me would require some really exceptional circumstances. v_v It's only the second time it's happened in five years that the forum has been here and hopefully I'll never have to do it again.

Indeed! I don't particularly enjoy driving as it is, so moving somewhere with a good enough public transportation system for me to get away with not having a car will be wonderful. Definitely saves on the monthly bills as well. I sometimes think systems are designed to trap students by making them think they need a car along with the college bills and then trying to get a house and keep that up... yeesh.

I'm also thinking about my Anime Central cosplay for next year. Ah, wig decisions.

I'm thinking that I've always wanted to do a cosplay of some kind myself but I know I'll never have time for it. *cries* T_T

Hmm. That explains things a little, though it raises more questions than answers. Think this might be something you'd want to post about in your journal? I'd be interested in hearing about it, and your journal hasn't seen new entries since October.

After about 7 years or so, the online forum concept has kinda lost its shine for me I think. So coming back here is a bit like visiting a museum, but this place is a special museum because a large part of it is my own handiwork. I'll still come here and look around even if the MKR forum has been left behind in the greater scheme of things. All of the regulars have moved on to bigger and better things.
