^What the heck is so bad about the ME, anyway?
Docs Fox
Mar 25 2007, 08:50 PM
^ It's less stable then the other operating systems. Those 'random' shut downs are most likely ME not behaving properly.
Shirotatsu
Mar 25 2007, 08:52 PM
^Perhaps, though I find it strange that it took five years for such shut downs to occur.
Docs Fox

^ Come to think of it, I think we used to have ME on that old computer. I remember that we reinstalled the operating system a few times because it didn't work right. <.<;

^*sweatdrops* Well, it worked fine until...about two years ago.

^ *hands a towel over to whip away that sweat*
Shirotatsu
Mar 27 2007, 10:55 PM
^Used no words. Also, I like how I'm supposed to "whip" away sweat. Wonderful imagery.
Docs Fox
Mar 27 2007, 11:03 PM
^ lol I meant 'wipe.' My brain isn't all here today.
Shirotatsu
Mar 27 2007, 11:05 PM
^That's okay. My brain's been gone for a while now. XD Anyway, I wish you could whip sweat away..."bad sweat!"

Shirotatsu
Mar 27 2007, 11:16 PM
^I suppose so, but I didn't quite think that. I'm not a great detector of joke killers. XD
Docs Fox
Mar 27 2007, 11:22 PM
^ lol Maybe so, but I think I killed it, so there. >.>;;

^And just as a poem is but a shadow of a poet's intent, this post is nothing but the air that comes out of me when I forget what I wanted to say.

Mar 27 2007, 11:29 PM

^ Too bad life doesn't have a pause button, eh?
Docs Fox
Mar 30 2007, 10:45 PM
^ If it did, I'm sure it'd be abused and only the people in charge would have access to it. >.>;
Noriko
Mar 30 2007, 10:50 PM
^ Then we'd have to distract them and steal our control back.
Shirotatsu
Mar 30 2007, 11:59 PM
^For our sanity, I suppose so.
Noriko
Mar 31 2007, 12:18 AM
^ Yours, perhaps. I'm in more need of a rewind option than a pause button.
Shirotatsu
Mar 31 2007, 12:20 AM
^Eh, I'm not sure if I really need either, but...yeah.
Noriko
Mar 31 2007, 12:22 AM
^ *shrug* It's too bad someone doesn't go invent a time machine; there's a lot of money in the market.
Shirotatsu
Mar 31 2007, 12:24 AM
^Too much to be thought about, taken care of, et cetera, et cetera...then there's the problem of its possibility in the first place.
Noriko
Mar 31 2007, 12:27 AM
^ It's a physics matter; if one was to break a certain speed, time would progress either very quickly or very slowly. The interesting part would be figuring out how to safely make someone go at a fast enough speed to go back in or, forward in, time without somehow harming them. Plenty of well-established theories on how it should work are out there, so thinking isn't a problem.
Shirotatsu
Mar 31 2007, 12:30 AM
^...thinking and taking care of stuff go together with figuring out the safety of such a device, but anyway. Time is an interesting thing...
Noriko
Mar 31 2007, 12:31 AM
^ No, it's not interesting; it's cruel. It passes too slowly when terrible times are there and too quickly when there are good moments to be held on to.
Shirotatsu
Mar 31 2007, 12:33 AM
^In terms of "time travel," it is interesting. But those terrible times and those good moments seem to make such "science" unreal.
Noriko
Mar 31 2007, 12:35 AM
^ Most things attached to emotions (like our perception of time passing) do seem to defy science's logic.
Shirotatsu
Mar 31 2007, 12:38 AM
^Ordered chaos as the world may be, scientific logic is often restricted to things that can be tested with approximately accuracy and/or precision, and thus not quite fitting for emotion.
Noriko
Mar 31 2007, 12:39 AM
^ Emotions can be predictable enough... it's just a more complicated and more abstract experiment.
Shirotatsu
Mar 31 2007, 12:40 AM
^Then I guess it depends on what exactly one wants to test.
Noriko
Mar 31 2007, 12:42 AM
^ Yeah. Psychology experiments are fun, really... not. It's a major pain to control variables because the subjects keep wanting to add their own.
Shirotatsu
Mar 31 2007, 12:44 AM
^And those are the variables which mess up the accuracy/precision of an experiment.
Noriko
Mar 31 2007, 12:47 AM
^ Thank you, Captain Obvious. ;p
Shirotatsu
Mar 31 2007, 12:47 AM

Mar 31 2007, 12:49 AM
^ Sorry, the circular conversation had to end somewhere.
Shirotatsu
Mar 31 2007, 12:52 AM
^Yes, it did, so no need for "sorry."
Noriko
Mar 31 2007, 12:53 AM
^ It was a sarcastic "sorry."
Shirotatsu
Mar 31 2007, 12:56 AM
^I figured.
