Mhmm hmm ... I noticed that for sure. They used Shuya's first name throughout the entire movie, even when a character would call him Nanahara... which then got confusing the first time I watched it ^^;;



Actually.. everything was just confusing the first time watching it ^^;; So many people.... My sister thought that Yukie at the lighthouse with Shuya was Noriko.. *flop* They looked nothing alike...

...I thought the guys who jumped were Shuuya and Noriko...and then they were alive again! I was like 'what the heck'?

Ehehe, I thought they were Shuya and Noriko too o.O;; But then... why would they have just killed themselves after talking about getting through the game? XD eh heh... *flop*

...but I don't like how the Yuji Oniki made Shuya and Shogo say "Shuya" and "Shogo" in the book...in the original Japanese, Shuya calls Shogo "Kawada" and Shogo calls Shuya "Nanahara", while both call Noriko "Noriko"...and...yeah...

Ah I see... I really wish they had called Shogo Kawada instead... it's just easier for me to remember his character like that ^^;; Though.. I'm guessing they wrote Shuya because it's shorter than Nanahara =P hehehe... just kidding XD;

Probably so people wouldn't think the translator had a mental problem or something putting the last name...if those people weren't familiar with Japanese name order and stuff...heh...

The movie's a lot more gory than something like We Were Soldiers and I was grossed out by the latter...



...Battle Royale actually made me cry sometimes...both the movie and the book...

I never cried during the book or movie.. my sister did though. I had to stop reading the book for a while after Chigusa died though... I was starting to get depressed with it.

Ah...that was one of them...when it says "Kono imi ga wakaru?" on the screen...*nods*



...I translated it as "Do you know the meaning of this?" ....but yeah, same thing, really...

I read that besides a few mistakes in the subtitled version I saw... it was a pretty close translation to the original dialogue.. much closer than other version's subtitles anyway...

I was looking on IMDb at Battle Royale... this is their list of goofs in the movie XD I would like to go back and re-watch some parts to see if it was true *flop*



Continuity: Hirono's weapon changes from being a Browning High Power to an Colt .45 Model 1911 (just after she throws Mitsuko's weapon).



Revealing mistakes: Utsumi is breathing when Shuya finds her body in the lighthouse.



Continuity: When Yukiko Kitano and Yumiko Kusaka (the two girls on the mountain calling for peace) get shot by Kiriyama the position of their bodies change between shots (note by which way their legs are pointing, and the position of the Megaphone)



Continuity: Before Kawada reveals the picture of him and Keiko, we can see its outline from behind, and it shows a different couple.
