When Hikaru awoke she found herself in a huge hall. It looked like it was made out of marble but it was black all over with tiny red lines on it. Pillars and archways surrounded Hikaru as far as she could see each archway leading into other parts of the huge hall.
The floor was also made out of black marble. It was shiny yet slippery and Hikaru could see herself through it. Above Hikaru was a tall ceiling. It looked as if it was made out of water as it rippled gentle sending reflections onto the floor. Considering it was water Hikaru could make out shapes such as dragons and what looked like women in kimonos or at least young girls in kimonos with their faces covered by their hair looking down upon her as if they were some sort of security system.
These similar types of decorations were also on the balcony’s that surrounded the whole hallway. Chinese dragons were wrapped around pillars and balconies while young Japanese girls in kimonos were sitting on the edge of archways and at the bottom of pillars staring at Hikaru through their hair. These too were made out of black marble.
“Creepy.” Hikaru muttered as she looked around. In front of her, through an archway, stood a big fleet of stairs leading towards a huge brown door. Two statues of Japanese girls stood, with their arms by their sides, next to the door and their hair covering their young frozen faces. It was enough to put people off from using the door. But as soon as Hikaru was about to run towards it seemed to ripple as if in water and was replaced by another open part of the hallway. The door, the stairs and the girls were gone.
“What’s going on?” Hikaru asked the air in front of her. “What is this place? I must be dreaming this whole thing.” She muttered to herself.
“I really doubt that little girl.” A male voice said behind her. Hikaru spun around to find a tall man dressed in a white male kimono holding onto Ami who was still unconscious. He had startling yellow eyes and long very pale pink hair. Her stood in a very feminine position and sounded very camp.
“Who are you?” Hikaru asked. Her voice sounded a bit more disgusted than she wanted to let on but the guy didn’t seem offended.
“Me? Oh that doesn’t matter love.” He said in the campest way he could. Hikaru felt he was putting it on a little. “What does matter darling is what’s going to happen to you.” He pointed at Hikaru with his free hand.
“Me?” Hikaru also pointed at herself. The guy nodded slowly as if speaking to a five year old.
“Well done you can point at yourself.” He said putting his hand down. Hikaru grumbled angrily.
“All right start answering my questions. Where am I and why am I here?” She asked. She was fed up of some camp guy messing her around. The guy laughed and dropped Ami on the floor who grumbled irritably and woke up rubbing her head.
“Where am I?” She asked groggily. She sat up half dazed and looked around at the hall. “What the hell?” Ami’s full conscious self suddenly returned to her when she realised she was no longer in Tokyo hugging her freak friend. She looked at the camp guy and then at Hikaru who was standing with her fists clenched.
“Hikaru-chan!” Ami cried. She over to Hikaru and hugged her. Hikaru hugged her back.
“I’m glad you’re okay Ami-chan. Thank God you’re okay.” Hikaru said letting go of Ami. Ami smiled slightly and rubbed her head. It hurt considering she hit it on the floor.
“All right family reunions over now down to business.” The guy said holding out his hand and looking at his nails. “Which one of you is the Magic Knight?” he asked.
“Magic what?” Ami asked. She stared at the guy blankly. Is he on drugs? Ami thought to herself. The guy sighed irritably.
“Magic Knight honey. Don’t play dumb with me now who is it? Stupid little Aiko was supposed to bring the Magic Knight here but it seems she bought along insignificant other as well so tell me please which one is which.” The guy asked stroking his hair. Hikaru growled slightly.
“Why should we say?” Hikaru asked. “You haven’t answered my questions yet.” Hikaru said folding her arms. The guy laughed slightly and then put his hand on his hip.
“Alright then.” The guy said smiling. “I am Tama and this is my lovely dimension that I skilfully created to hold the great Magic Knights of Cephiro. Since those brats seem to be so strong and seem to ruin everything for anybody I thought I would create another alternate world in which to hold them since they have no idea how it works. You can’t possibly escape if you are really Magic Knights.” Tama said proudly. He stood in a very I-am-full-of-myself position and chuckled childishly.
“But I don’t even Know what a Magic Knight is,” Ami said still staring blankly at Tama. “Never mind be one.” Tama laughed.
“So it’s our short tempered red head who’s the Magic Knight! I should have thought as much with an attitude like hers. Fiery or what. I like that in a girl.” He said leaning forward. Ami was very surprised by this comment considering he acted so camp to them or was that a normal flirt in this other dimension?
Either way Ami’s headache was getting worse. What in the name of God was Cephiro? What were these Magic Knights? And why did this camp guy, Tama, want to hold Hikaru here? It was confusing already and she had only been here five minutes.
“This is way too weird.” Ami said walking away from Hikaru and Tama. “I must be in a dream or something.”
“Oh quite contraire,” Tama said laughing slightly. “This is no dream blondy. This is as real as the hair on your head. Shall I demonstrate?”
Tama walked up to Ami and grabbed her wrist. He held it out in front of him with his left and with his right he pulled out a dagger. He then cut Ami’s hand down her palm from one side to the other. Ami cried out in pain and watched as her blood dripped to the floor yet she didn’t wake up in her bed or house.
“See darling not a dream.” Tama said holding her wrist and laughing.
“That’s enough Tama!” A sharp voice said behind him. Tama abruptly stopped laughing and turned around to see a young woman dressed in a long white dress and a huge belt made up of gold and sapphires around her waist. From her neck was a giant necklace similar to the belt but holding up a white cape around her shoulders which went down to her wrists. She held a staff with a green transparent orb on the end decorated with small glass flowers. Her face was firm but she had bright green eyes and shoulder length golden hair.
“L-Leiko.” Tama knelt on one knee on the floor. Leiko smiled. She stood before Tama looking satisfied that someone was bowing down to her.
“Now didn’t Ando-sama say not to hurt the Magic Knights just yet?” Leiko asked putting her hand on her hip. Tama nodded.
“Yes Leiko but that girl is not a magic Knight. She is the second girl that Aiko bought along.” Tama said smiling slyly. Leiko looked at Ami who was being helped by Hikaru. Hikaru had got a tissue out of her pocket and was making Ami hold it tightly to absorb the blood.
“Aiko is such a newbie to magic and sorcery she is incapable of anything. Her portal must have bought in others as well. It couldn’t have been strong enough to only bring people of a direct link to her here.” Leiko turned to face Hikaru and Ami. “She had to bring the second girl along to didn’t she?” Hikaru was still trying to mend Ami’s hand while Ami was staring right at Leiko.
“Aiko-chan?” Ami muttered. Leiko’s smile disappeared.
“You know her?” Leiko called to Ami. Hikaru turned to face Leiko. Ami nodded.
“If she is the girl you’re on about then yes. The one who bought us here. She went missing about a year ago while visiting Japan. She was looking for an old friend.” Ami said. Leiko nodded.
“Really? Well that would mean that you bought here by your old friendship.”
“That would explain a lot.” Tama said standing up. “She just isn’t strong enough to block out an old friends hidden cry.
