Hey y'all. This is my first fantasy RPG. So...hope y'all like it and hopefully many of you guys will join.
The beginning of this story starts off in the continent of Privalar. There were 2 rivaling countries known as Havencore and Ravenbar. Havencore was a country that consisted of people of higher class. Ravenbar consisted of middle and poor class. The reason why these two countries were rivals was that both sides hated each other. That changed when one of the townsmen from Havencore betrayed his country when he fell to the dark side, bringing forth a dragon of immense & terrible power.
Ravenbar was obviously unmatched by the country of Havencore & their newfound power. This then lead to a war that lasted for over 5,000 years. Eventually, the dragon turned on the country of Havencore & nearly brought it and the rival country to its ultimate destruction. It then leads to the event of a young man by the name of Beren who was trained by a mage, by the name of Narya, residing in a forest. This then lead to him joining 3 other strangers from both countries, who, for their countries sake, accompanied Beren on his journey.
The 4 were then guided by the mage that trained Beren, and were told to find 4 Elemental Mana Gems of Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water. It was dangerous and treacherous, for they were tested to their limits by 4 guardian Elemental mages. Yet they managed to prevail despite hardship. In their final confrontation with the dragon of darkness, Beren summoned the dragon of light to do battle against the one of darkness. The battle became so intense that the mage had to seal the dark dragon in a pendant and the powers of the light dragon in a sword & scattered the gems and broke the sword so as to never be used for evil purposes.
Now, several ages later, the continent of Privalar is split in two. The countries known as Havencore and Ravenbar fell apart after the wars and are now known as Briarstone and Mytalzar. And with the end of the war, the heroes, the two dragons, and the elemental gems have become a legend.
It is as follows:
Long ago, when the continent of Privalar was still young, 4 brave souls from 2 rivaling ends united for the sake of their countries to do battle against Breyzard, the dragon of darkness. But to defeat it, they had to search for the Mystic Rings that would give them the power to defeat it. They were guided by the mage Narya, who trained Beren that led the group, to search for the gems, which were guarded by elemental mages of the corresponding element, who gave each person a trail which tested them both physically and mentally. Despite hardships, they managed to prove their worth. In their final confrontation with the evil dragon, the battle was fierce and the mage had to seal both away. One in a pendant, the other, its powers in a sword. The gems were scattered and the sword, which was broken into pieces, was scattered as well. Then 4 creatures representing one of each of the 4 elements were assigned to guard a piece of the sword and a gem.
And the continent split in half as a result of the war.
--------------------------------------------------------------
But in this time of peace, a new evil brews in Privalar.
Both sides are dealing with 2 mysterious groups that have the same goal of resurrecting the dark dragon. One is known as Davenia and the other is Tavalm. These two groups have been kidnapping citizens to do their dirty work. But they aren’t the only ones searching for the dragon. Hidden away in another world, within an icy fortress resides a mage of dark and power magic, who goes by the name of Serpenzard. He has currently sent out troops of his own searching for the pendant that locked away the powers of the dark dragon. (Later…these two groups will eventually join up with Serpenzard in hopes of getting the dragon as well.)
(NOTE: Briarstone is to the North, Mytalzar is to the South).
(NOTE: You guys can create names for cities and fields as well as forests in your story. Just
please don't forget to at least give location as well (by using directions, (I.E.: North, South, etc.)).
Here is a
map of Privalar.-----------------------------------------------------------------------
(Hey…I know they’re weird names but…just bear with me here.)
The six classes are as follows:- Swordsman (Apprentice, Master). (NOTE: If you choose this class, you can choose either one…however…if your choice is Apprentice, then you can also have a Master that would be teaching you (in that case…he would be helping “you”). Uses Lightsword or Broadsword.
- Archer - Uses a bow.
- Mage - Uses a staff. (Don't be too specific on its description)
- Axeman - Uses an ax.
- Thief - Use knives.
- Magic Swordsman (NOTE: There will be a limit on this). (6 at the most.) (So...if you want this class please tell me...because it will go fast) (And note to the rest of you...I'm going to be one. So...in total...there will be 7).
If you belong to a particular class, you may choose to have a secondary weapon. The choices are as follows, and please note that the classes that can use them are in parentheses next to the weapon.
Secondary Weapons- Knife (Swordsman, Archer, Magic Swordsman)
- Lightsword (Mage)
- Hatchet (Axeman)
There are four races in the continent of Privalar and you have the choice of choosing any of them.
- Humans
- Dwarves
- Elves
- Cat-People (I know it’s a bit odd.)
(NOTE: Those of you who have read LOTR should know by now where Dwarves and Elves dwell/reside in and what class they would fall under).

About time I finished these bios...
---
Name: Ereshkigal Tiaika
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Class: Kashshaptu (Sorceress) - uses Magic Tome "Alal," the "Destroyer"
Race: Human
Element: Wind
Appearance: Has long silver hair measuring to the middle of her back. Blue eyes, light skin. Is mostly covered by a hoodless black robe. 5'1". And there's no need to know the weight or even to make up one.
Personality: A leader who believes that following can only be done if there is an example to follow. She has a cold demeanor, but acts strangely around her sister...
Bio: Simply born an ordinary girl with a strange name to the ordinary Tiaika family of the suburban city of Suur in northeastern Mytalzar, there is no family background that suggests why she would turn to resurrecting the Dragon of Darkness. An avid reader of myths, legends, and other stories of heroes, she has a wide repertoire of both fictional and factual knowledge and can use both to her advantage.
She sees much corruption in the world even after millennia of corruption has ended, and thus intends to resurrect the Dragon to do her bidding and rid the world of what obstructs goodness, even if she must do evil to accomplish goodness. To accomplish her goal, she started a group called Davenia. She believes that leaders who order their subordinates to do their work but sit around and wait for results are weak and do not deserve to be followed and thus places herself on the "front lines" of battle and obtains what she wishes herself.
Ereshkigal loves her younger sister, but it seems that she can't keep calm around her...
Extra: Perhaps her younger sister is her weak point?
---
Name: Astartu Tiaika
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Class: Mage - uses Magic Tome "Tiamatu," the "Rage of the Abyss"
Race: Human
Element: Water
Appearance: Short black hair that measures only a few inches below the shoulders. Brown eyes, light skin. Likes going out in semi-flashy apparel, but normally leaves the house with a blue tunic-like blouse thingy (*sweatdrops*) and a simple white skirt. 4'12". Weight blank.
Personality: Astartu loves to stand out. If there's any way to stand out, she'll do it, even if it makes her look like an idiot. She is outgoing, somewhat loud, and gets hyper easily. Giving her a gift (especially if it's expensive) is the best way to get her to be friendly. And that's permanent, though she will appreciate the occasional gift or two.
Bio: Not quite as bright as her older sister Ereshkigal, she has a more outgoing personality that made her popular in her school days. Because of her not-so-showoff-able grades, she felt like her parents put all their attention on her older sister and directed all their anger and frustration at her. As a result, she is rather hostile towards Ereshkigal, and hates being around her.
In recent times, Astartu has become suspicious of Ereshkigal's activities, and despite absolutely hating anything to do with her sister, she tries to investigate Ereshkigal's activities, often with no luck.
The relationship between Ereshkigal and Astartu is so bad that destruction can be expected wherever the two have been, though ironically that destruction is more often caused by Astartu's "Rage of the Abyss" than by Ereshkigal's "Destroyer."
Extra: Strangely enough, Astartu gains strength and accuracy when her sister is around. These are normally almost terrible stats by herself. It is wise to just make Astartu happy by giving her stuff so she doesn't go killing party members because of her terrible accuracy.
---
Name: Suria Khaiaxiu
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Class: Thief - Knife "Ryezkiya Zima"
Race: Cattish
Element: Wind, but it seems his connection with it is lacking...
Appearance: Has long bright orange hair that it is tied into a ponytail by a white cotton hairtie. Has bright orange ears and tail that match his hair color. Has yellow eyes. Appears the same way as Astartu, and looks perfect in it. 4'3". Weight blank. Besides the hair, ears, and tail, he does not and will not have body hair.
Personality: Imitates Astartu and considers her his big sister. Giving gifts also makes him happy, but be careful when you buy stuff around him. He might just steal it.
Bio: Suria lived in an orphanage close to the Tiaika home at which Astartu volunteered for required school service. Eventually Suria became so attached to Astartu that at her request, the Tiaika family adopted him. Suria's past is a blur, not only because it is difficult for him to remember, but also because he doesn't wish to remember. For him, the past is simply past and if whatever happened in the past dropped him off in an orphanage, he doesn't need to know about it and will live life to the fullest according to what he is now.
He seems to have acquired more feminine traits than masculine traits and this and his feminine name leads to ostracization by the local kids of Suur. It is obvious that he can bond faster with the girls than with boys, but he is so open about cross-dressing it is almost as if it were the most normal thing in the world to him.
He considers himself a "Master Thief," but his thieving skills are far from masterful. More than occasionally he can steal what he wants, but gets caught a few minutes later. He is often told to return what he stole by Astartu.
His relationship with Ereshkigal is far better than the one between Astartu and Ereshkigal. Though it seems that he likes pulling stupid tricks with her and gets pounded by an angry Ereshkigal. He harbors no hostility towards her and treats her about the same as he treats Astartu, with the exception of the stupid tricks.
Extra: He is not gay. Somewhat good at stealing weapons that are being used by enemies. Oh, and players have fun beating up on Suria if you so feel.

And there you go...hopefully I'm not the only one who joins? And you should put your main characters up too...^^;;

(OOC: Hehe...I suppose I'll start things off).
Jurai and his father, Ramoria were out on a nice day doing their usual bound swordfighting (OOC: Basically that's when you have one wristband on both you and your opponent and a long piece of rope about 2 feet long is what separates you two. The idea in this is to use both your wit and the length of the rope to try and take advantage of your opponent and try to disarm him. Of course...they only use wooden-carved swords), near the city of Tavindal.
Narya was visiting his good friend Faeon and watched Jurai from a distance on a balcony 6 feet from the ground at Faeon's house. Faeon went to see how Narya was doing and noticed him on the balcony observing, and went to look with him. Looking down, he could see that Jurai was starting to outsmart his father a bit.
"He seems to be improving," said Faeon.
"But he still has a long way to go. He can't even master his own element yet," said Narya.
"You can just rush him," said Faeon.
"Who said I was rushing him?" he answered.
Meanwhile, on the ground, Jurai had just surged forward and lunged at his dad then his right arm then went to strike at his head, but his dad somehow noticed this and dodged it. His father countered by knocking his son off his feet, knocking him back a bit, yet he managed to land back on his feet.
"Impressive. But your weakness...is not your techinque," said Jurai's dad.
"You'll find that's not my only trick," he said.
"Then show me," said Ramoria.

~Suria~
I don't know what we're doing here in this city Tavindal. There's no point in being in it, Suur already has the best things ever! Or at least that's what I'd say 'cause it's the only city I've ever been to, but the point is, Tavindal is so far...
Astartu kept saying something about Tavindal's wonderful bakeries. Doesn't she already make her own wonderful cakes? She shouldn't need to try other people's cakes. But anyway, as long as she...
"Can you buy me something when you're there?" I asked her. Astartu closed her eyes and sighed. "Yes, Suria, we'll get you something okay? Just don't ask me to come into some girly store with you. Got it?" Astartu was just hiding her excitement too. After all, once we walked in, she'd fawn over all the cute jewelry they have... ...and she'd better buy me something too if she does! I smiled as I walked down the path...though it seemed too much like the wrong path.
Ahead of me were two people, bound by rope, fighting with wooden swords. My eyes widened, and I clung to Astartu's hand. "Astartu, where'd you take us?!"

Aug 1 2006, 11:31 PM
"Here goes," said Jurai. Lunging forward, he swung his sword right, then turned it downward for his dad's right leg, which he didn't expect, causing him to be knocked down. Jurai then put his sword near his dad's neck, telling him that he was beat.
"Not bad," said Ramoria. "But not good enough either." Kicking the sword out of his son's hand, causing it to land a couple of feet from where he was standing, he pointed his sword at his son, who then yanked his right arm forward, kicked his dad's right foot forward, causing him to fall again, have his sword thrown 8 feet in front of him, and then Jurai dived for his sword and then pointed it at his dad again.
Panting and dripping with sweat, Jurai said, "Looks like I win this one dad."
Laughing, Ramoria looked impressed. "Very clever my son," he said, being helped up. And then they both took off their wristband. Walking over to where the other wooden sword was, his dad said, "You have the potential. Though...you nearly carry your grandfather's traits as well."
"How is he?" asked Jurai.
"He passed away...few months before you were born," said Ramoria.
"I see," he said.
"Anyway...let's go grab a drink at one of the bars," said Jurai's dad.
"I'm more in it for the ale," said Jurai.
"Fine. But you're paying," said his dad.
"Oh no. You lost..you have to do it," said Jurai, teasing back.
"Says who?" shot back his dad.
"Just kidding. I'll pay," he said, laughing.
They then saw two people within the city and appeared to be lost.
"Think we should help?" asked Jurai.
"Not sure. I suppose we could," said his dad.
Walking over to where the 2 were standing Ramoria asked, "Excuse me...you two need some help?"

~Astartu~
Such an intense battle. It must be training. After all, this world just gets worse and worse. It's better if your well prepared for anything bad that could happen... ...that's why I have this tome Tiamatu. A gift, from my mother who used it before me. It's strange, but these tomes only belong to the Tiaika family and no one else has them...but I was never told of their history.
But that's not the matter. The thing is we're lost! And it's all thanks to...well, me and my lousy direction. Suria kept clinging to me like a scared girl, and that's probably the best way to put it, except he's a guy, and that makes him weird and kids don't like him and...uh-oh, I'm going off topic again. Help!
In my lostness, I didn't see the men who approached me. What were they gonna do to me? Rape me? They were sweating, and smiling, and ohhhhh, this isn't good! What'll they do to Suria? Wait...help?
"Yes, we're lost and..." I started.
"Ahhh, people!" Suria cried happily. "Please, we're trying to find Tavindal?"

Wiping the sweat off their heads with a hankerchief, Jurai stepped forward and said, "It's a couple of miles north of where you guys are currently. As a matter of fact...we were just about to head there ourselves. Name's Jurai. The one next to me is my dad, Ramoria."
"Pleased to meet you," he said. "You must be from a different town."
"Uh...dad...from the looks of things....they obviously are," whispered Jurai. "What's your name?"

Thank goodness. Astartu never was good at getting us anywhere, and this is no exception...her airheadedness must have really gotten to her.
"Oh, thanks!" I said, smiling. "Well, since you're going, maybe you'll come with us two defenseless...uh...people?" I said, avoiding what our dress marked us as. "Who aren't really defenseless, but Astartucanbedangerouswhenshe'smadatit'snotagoodthinganditwouldbeagoodideaifwewenttogether?" I added, quietly.
"Suria is my name." I said, extending my hand also. "And that's my older sister Astartu. We're from Suur, a city a few hours by foot south."
~Ereshkigal~
Oh, that boy shouldn't act so cute. I mean, what if she got into...she? She? He! What if he got into some really big trouble? A little thief can't do anything more than scratch an experienced warrior, and his thieving skills aren't even that great...
Lurking from the trees isn't the greatest way to follow my brother and sister, but if it means avoiding Astartu's Tiamatu, I'll take this stupid path anytime. Besides, those two, Ramoria and Jurai? Don't need to see Astartu and I getting into a fight. It wouldn't be nice...and if they intervene? Ooh, it would be worse.

Jurai's father stroked his chin a bit, thinking about the name of that city.
"Suur...sounds familiar," said Ramoria.
"You've heard of it before, dad?" asked Jurai.
"Well...from other townspeople. They say they've got some great shops there," he answered.
"I see. Sure, I don't mind if we go together," said Jurai.
"Heh...typical of you Jurai. Always eager to help a young lady," teased his dad.
"I know what's going through your head dad, so drop it," shot back Jurai.
"You take things too seriously, son. You need to lighten up," laughed Ramoria.
As the two lead the way, Narya watched from a distance atop the branch of a very high tree. Faeon noticed and asked, "Are you sure he's the one?"
"So it would appear to be. If he somehow manages to muster up his element...then by no means...I will test him," he answered.
"And if he's not?" wondered Faeon.
"There's no doubt about it. His grandfather's traits are within him. Now it's just the matter of getting it out," he replied.
"Would you care for some herbal tea?" offered Faeon.
"Perhaps later. I would like to observe them a bit longer," said Narya.
"Very well, old friend. Let me know if you'd want some later," said Faeon.
"But of course," he replied.

Astartu isn't going to buy me anything, so it's not like I can really come along. Besides, I have some business to take care of back with Davenia. What kind of business I really don't know. Those bumbling idiots should never have tried to join me. Ah, the days of Davenia's one man-ness...er, woman-ness. Doesn't matter. Once I get my hands on that Dragon's pendant, the world will be mine to purify...
But something up here freaks me out... ...it's an energy completely opposite to mine, so would that imply that that being I see, that old man, is my rival, enemy, and scourge of the world, along with the man next to him, and the two who escort my siblings?! Whether he is or isn't, I must find out his business.
"You, old man!" I spoke, harshly. "What are you doing up here?!" Now normally I wouldn't bother the elderly, but his very presence bothers me...
~Suria~
"Sir Jurai must be very good with the ladies, isn't he?" I said to both him and his father, winking.
"Oh, shut up, you!" Astartu said, and punched me on top of the head, consequently almost knocking me out. I got up from the floor, dusted off my clothes and gave a pouting face.

(OOC: Ooh, veeery nice, Yuki-san! I am quite looking forward to joining this role-play. It is very well thought out. Nice work!

)
Name: Luthien
Age: 1,335
Gender: Female
Class: Archer
Race: Elf
Element: Earth
Appearance: Long, ebony hair, emerald green eyes. 5'8''. She wears forest green clothing to better conceal herself when needed. She carries a bow and quiver on her back. Around her waist is belted her two finely crafted fighting knives. Concealed eslewhere are smaller, throwing daggers for quick attacks.
Personality: Luthien, although over 1,000 years old, is still considered young to the elven race. As such, she has the maturity of a 17-year-old in mortal years. She is charming, mischevious and fun... up until a battle draws near. When seen in battle, you would undoubtedly mistake her for another, for her personality would seem so changed. She is also extremely stealthy and enjoys sneaking up on people as a hobby. One of her favorite pasttimes is climbing trees and eavesdropping.
Bio: Luthien was born in the Nanion Woods, in the western region of Privalar. Unbeknownced to men, the elves have a secret city hidden deep within the woods, protected by magic. Even if one were to comb the entire forest, they would never find it unless permitted by the elves, for the entrance to the city is finely disguised, and, for extra protection, is guarded with an illusion, making it seem as simply another part of the forest. Luthien lived inside the forest for the first 1,250 years of her life. Inside the hidden city--Evallion--was where Luthien was taught everything she knew. She lived with her family there until the 1,251st year of her life. She then decided to leave the forest, and see for herself what lay beyond it. She has spent the last 85 years exploring Privalar and everything she could find of it. She knows much of the ancient legend of Beren, especially since some of her near relatives had lived through it. She is a master archer, and is improving daily with her skill of knives and daggers. She is currently wandering about Privalar, helping those in need, and searching for a higher purpose to accomplish in her life.
Secondary Weapon: Two long, fighting knives and (many) smaller, hidden daggers.
(OOC: Whelp, hope that's okay.

)
"Direct hit!" Luthien exclaimed as her dagger hit the mark yet again. She was in the midst of a small, wooded area, and was practicing her dagger-throwing skills.
She had been commencing her daily training since dawn. She had already finished her archery training, since she did not have much to improve there. Lately, she had also taken up a sort of Melee combat style, and was trying to improve that, as well. She glanced quickly up at the sky, then at the shadows on the ground.
"Ah, my time for today is up, I see." She said to herself. She retrieved her dagger from the tree she had thrown it into, and returned it into one of her many concealed carriers. She headed out of the woods, and onto the road beyond it.
"Now, where shall I go today?" She asked herself, spreading out the map she carried, and looking over it. "Hmm... I always liked Rysanee to the south... but... hmmm... why not visit Tavindal again? I haven't been there for a while--well--according to men's standards." With a nod of satisfaction, she swung her traveling pack over her shoulder, and headed down the road. About halfway down the road, she put her fingers to her lips, and made a high, clear note. As if from nowhere, a pure white stallion emerged, galloping up to her.
"Excellent timing, Ariwana." She said as the horse approached. "We're headed to Tavindal today. Shall we go?" The stallion snorted as if in agreement. "Very well then. Let's be off." And in one, swift movement, Luthien was on the horse's back, whispering elvish in it's ear, urging it onward!

"It would be wise that you answer quickly and in concise terms, old man." I said, reaching for Alal. The man's features looked so old that he just couldn't possibly be alive naturally...and there was no possible way he could defeat me if I threatened him, right?

All right, Presea...you're in. And thanks for the compliment.
OOC: Ne...Kyouka-chan...to which old man are you referring to?
Narya turned to the person who was addressing him.
"I'm just simply waiting for a student of one who's grandfather I taught before to arrive," he answered.
'That young woman has a presence that appears to be a lust for power. However...that's the weakness of Man anyway. Yet there are those that combat those people that have that urge. Yet...I sense another evil presence...one who has yet to rival the powers of the one that I sense at this very moment.'
-Jurai-
"So...from the looks of things, it seems like you two are trying to study magic, yes?" asked Jurai, curious.
His dad gave him a slight elbowing to his side, and that annoying hinting grin of his just ticked him off.
'Dad...knock it off. You've been having too much drinks lately,' he thought, feeling his blood boil.
"Hey dad...did you ever know that Elves are really good at making a type of bread that is different from ours?" asked Jurai.
"No. I didn't. What's it called?" he asked, wondering.
"Lembas bread," answered Jurai.
"Huh?" wondered Ramoria.
"I'll explain later. We're already here," said Jurai.
The city of Tavindal was filled with different races, yet a majority were Elves. Since they were skilled also in the tongue of Man, or...as others would say the "Common Tongue" to describe it, they were able to understand Humans easily. Yet there were very few who could talk the Elvish language. Yet most have heard of it, yet don't know a thing about it. The city was filled with large trees that were very high, and a lot of the shops outside had wooden support, yet they use the leaves sometimes as signs, or use a piece of wood and carve letters into it.
'He's here,' thought Narya, and then with a swish of his cloak, he disappeared like the wind.
As soon as they arrived, Jurai's father then said he was heading to the bar. Jurai then said he would join him later.
Turning to Astartu, he said, "It was nice meeting you two." He then took her hand and kissed it.
Yet just as he was about to head off, a quick gust of wind blew, alerting him. He observed his surroundings but couldn't tell who was around besides the townsfolk and the other races. Suddenly, Jurai heard a voice behind him.
"I've been waiting for you," he said.
Turning around, Jurai spotted a very old mage.
"Y-you're...Narya...aren't you?" asked Jurai.
"I am," he answered.
"My father said you trained my grandfather," said Jurai.
"Indeed young one. I see your father has gone into the bar. I left a note to the bartender right before he got in," said Narya.
"B-but how?" he wondered.
"I come and go as the wind," explained Narya. "Come...there's an old friend of mine that I want you to meet."
He was then taken to Faeon's house within a few seconds from a swish of his cloak.
"You were quite the ladies man back there," teased Narya.
"I was just being curteous," he answered.
"I know, I know. You need to lighten up once in a while. Care for some tea?" he offered.
"I'd love some, thank you," answered Jurai.
Just then, Faeon arrived in the living room of his home and spotted Jurai.
"Welcome Jurai. It's a honor to meet you. I'm Faeon," he said, introducing himself.
Just then, two other elves arrived at his side. One had blond hair, braided, sky blue eyes, wore a light blue gown, and had a leaflet tiara on her head. The other was a bit older, had black hair, also braided, had brown eyes, wore a green vest, with gray leather on top of it.
"Father...why didn't you inform us of visitors?" said the elder elf.
"I'm sorry my son. But Narya has his ways of concealment," he replied. "This is my son, Raieous. The young elf beside him is my daughter, Aeronia."
"We're pleased to meet you...Sir..." he started.
"Jurai," he replied.
"It's an honor to meet you, Sir Jurai," said Aeronia.
"Please...have a seat," said Faeon.
"Thank you sir," he replied.
"I think I'll take my leave for the time being," said Narya, and with a quick snap of his fingers, he vanished.

~Astartu~
Khiii, he kissed my hand! Such a handsome young man, so polite, so manly, so...so...! I shook with excitement. It's really too bad he just had to leave. Now then, it's time to get some food! And nice little accessory things for me and Suria, even though Suria shouldn't be going around wearing them, it's freaky.
"I'm not trying to study magic!" Suria said, sounding kind of disappointed. "I'm a th-..." If other people knew what that idiot was, they'd never want to help a poor innocent girl like me! So I punched him and it nearly knocked him out again. Suria, you're such an idiot sometimes.
"Oh well, thanks a lot for escorting us!" I said, waving as they walked away. Suria waved next to me. Oh, it was so strange, we looked almost alike.
~Ereshkigal~
That old man. Is so rude! Even if I somewhat threatened him, shouldn't he be so kind as to at least show a lady on her way? Or at least say "goodbye," like any normal person would. Ugh, whatever. I can feel though that Astartu's going to be headed for some trouble in the near future...maybe I should stick around. I should at least stay and see what happens to my baby sister... Just not too close or she'll kill me and everyone else around. Well, not me, but definitely everyone around us.
And to all those idiots back at Davenia, "Up yours. You can die and rot for all I care." Betrayal. If I can get rid of Davenia, I'll have the pendant for myself... Plus, I won't have to pay those bumbling idiots for the slipshod work they do. Besides, none of those idiots could stand up to a superior like me...

As Narya took his leave, Raieous couldn't help but ask, "So...Sir Jurai...what is it that brought you here in the first place?"
"Actually, I was out training with my dad, to become a swordsman," said Jurai.
"I see. But...from what we heard from Narya...he says that you have potential. To become something other than a regular swordsman," said Raieous.
"What do you mean?" he wondered.
"He says you might have the potential to become a...magic swordsman," replied Raieous.
"What's a...magic swordsman?" wondered Jurai.
"A magic swordsman is one who uses the combination of his swordsmanship and his magic. Basically...Narya tells us that you possess an element of Fire. He brought you here in hopes to teach you how to harness it," explained Aeronia.
"Seriously? But...how am I supposed to explain it to my father?" he asked, worried.
"Fear not, young one. Narya will take care of the rest. He comes and goes at the wind at times. So your father will probably think you've gone off to do some extra training," explained Faeon, coming back with the pot of tea. "Would you care for some?"
"Yes...please," answered Jurai. "I've heard that Elves are known for making a type of bread here."
"Well yes. We are. It's actually a flaky sweet type of pastry," he answered. "We call it "crackersap". It's basically a type of pastry with honey brushed on it and some sugar on top of it."
"It's popular with some of the races. Yet...there are some that are not used to sweets," said Raieous.
As Faeon poured Jurai a cup, Jurai couldn't help but ask Faeon, "My father told me that Narya and you were good friends. How exactly did you two meet?"
"I'm sure Narya remembers more of it than me. You should probably ask him later," suggested Faeon.

'Maybe I should...' I thought, now gone from the trees and that wretched old man, and following closely behind Astartu.
"Don't you dare." Astartu said, without turning to look back. Whether I'm more powerful or not doesn't matter, it's just that Astartu is scary when she's mad, just like Suria told that man Jurai when they were together. It didn't occur to me that Astartu had never even noticed my presence, but that Suria was heading off into a place which Astartu didn't want to enter until I didn't feel the cold, wet blast of Tiamatu.
Finding this to be an opportunity, I jumped on Astartu and hugged her. "Awww, you couldn't even tell your older sister you were gonna go to Tavindal to buy stuff? You wanna buy anything for me?" I asked, getting really close to her. Now, hell was going to break out in Tavindal.
~Suria~
Huh? Astartu didn't follow me. I wonder what's going on...
I went back out of the store to find Ereshkigal hugging the crap out of Astartu. My eyes widened as such a spectacle attracted the eyes of innocent bystanders. They're all gonna die.
~Astartu~
"Get the hell off of me, Ereshkigal!" I shouted. Now the rape of the innocent Astartu had befallen her, and by her very own older sister! Who was just asking for me to buy her stuff, but never! Astartu will never buy her despicable older sister anything worth more than a speck of dust! "You wanna taste Tiamatu again?" I said.
Ereshkigal, hopefully knowing that a battle in this populated area was bad, or simply to humor me, got off, dusted both of us off, and stood up. "Aw, sister, you know we're supposed to be family. Why can't we go to exciting new places with each other? Or at least shop for something." She was lying, I could feel it. But she always said this....
"Look, Ereshkigal, this is Suria and my day on vacation, go bug something else!" I said. "If you wanna talk, you might wanna at least explain why you've been gone from home so much lately!"
Ereshkigal stared at me, and an "urk" escaped her mouth. I knew she was doing something suspicious...

As Jurai quietly took one of the pastries and took a bite while sipping his tea, his eyes widened to the very sweet taste that came from the pastry.
"Wow," said Jurai, in surprise.
"I'm glad you like it," said Raieous. "My sister was the one who created the recipe and distributed it to the town."
"Stop it, bro. You're embarassing me," said Aeronia, blushing.
"I'm just complementing on your good baking skills, sis," he said, smiling. The teasing brought a slight chuckle to Jurai, as he finished his tea and the pastry. As he did so, Faeon came in, directed his attention to Jurai and said, "Narya's waiting for you outside. He says it's time."
'I have a feeling where this is going,' he thought, as he stood up and headed out the back door. As Jurai headed deeper into the forest, he was starting to get that uneasy feeling.
Then suddenly, as if a quick gust had passed by, Narya appeared behind Jurai immediately.
"I see you've managed to make it," he said.
"This is about my training isn't it?" guessed Jurai.
"Yes. It is. Though...I'm sure you're wondering how Faeon and I were good friends," guessed the mage.
Jurai was astonished at what he just heard now. 'Could he actually read my mind?' he wondered.
"Yes. I can," replied the mage. "But in the meantime...let's begin. Here's your sword." He then tossed over to Jurai a lightblade sword.
"It's so light," he realized.
"Considering that it is...it was made by the best forgery here in Tavindal. It was your grandfather's," said Narya.
Jurai couldn't help but just stare at the old mage and what he had just said.
"Seriously? This belonged to my grandfather?" he asked surprised.
"Indeed. Right before he passed away, he told me to give to his grandson when he was ready. I knew he would be referring to you," said Narya. "Shall we begin?"
"Let's," he said. Both at a combative stance, Jurai began his training.
Up on the balcony, Faeon watched the two.
'Now we will see if he's the chosen one,' thought the old elf.

I knew that Ereshkigal would be less than willing to tell me about her secret activities, so I pushed her away and stuck my tongue out at her. "Come, Suria, let's go." I said, taking Suria's hand. He had stolen some piece of jewelry from that stupid store he went into, but now I was pissed at Ereshkigal, so I didn't care. All I wanted was to get away from my sister.
I read in tourist guide that Tavindal was famous for its bakeries, so that was our next stop. Maybe something inhumanly sweet would cheer me up. So wrapped up in my anger was I, that I didn't watch where I was going.
"Why, if it isn't Mr. Ladies Boy's father!" Suria said, when I ran right into Sir Ramoria.
"Sorry about that...!"
~Ereshkigal~
Ouch...thank goodness she didn't blow up the entire city with her anger, but really, can't she at least give me something?
Anyway, there must be something in here that will be of use...Alal tells me that I need something more than just the tome...

- Ramoria -
While in the bar, he ran into Astartu and Suria again.
"It's all right. I'm usually the one that doesn't watch where I'm going," he replied. "I just received a note that my son's out on some special training somewhere. Can I get you two anything to drink?"
-Jurai-
As the mage and student began their practice, Faeon seemed surprised at how well the young man was performing. Both were trying to outwit each other and the boy seemed to have improved greatly from his training with his father.
"Hmm...he just might have the potential after all," he said.
Jurai waited for the old mage's next move as they moved around carefully, trying to study the other person's attack and then counter it. He surged forward, spinning the blade in one hand, then spinning once and striking from the left. That time, it made contact, knocking off the mage's staff from his hand.
"Not bad young one. But you've still got a lot to learn about clearing your mind completely," he said.

Luthien had been riding for two days now. Normally, it would have taken a normal rider and horse at least a week to cover the distance she had. However, Ariwana was a special mare. She could ride like the wind itself with but a few whispers of ancient elven power from Luthien. Already they had nearly reached their destination. They stopped to rest for a bit inside a forest not far from Tavindal.
"Ah, I remember this forest." Luthien said, dismounting her steed. Suddenly, her elven instincts picked up the sounds of swords clanging together. Very faint, but there. She knelt, and pressed an ear to the ground.
So, according to their movements, they seem to be not more than a half-mile into these woods She thought, standing up.
"Ariwana, you stay here. I'm going to do some... investigating." She said, a mischevious fire flickering in her emerald eyes. Ariwana winnied.
"Of course I'll be careful." Luthien said, as if in reply to the mare. "Besides, it's not like anyone will be able to see me." She smiled, and bounded into the woods.
Luthien leapt from treetop to treetop, quickly and soundlessly making her way through the wood. Finally, she came to a clearing, where she stopped. Just below her, two figures mingled together in combat. Judging by their strokes, I would guess they are in the midst of a training session. She thought as she observed their movements. Concealed in the shadows of the trees, she decided to stay and watch for a bit...

"Ah, no, but I need something killer sweet right now." I said. That bitter taste of Ereshkigal's presence was still in my mouth, and I wanted it gone right that moment. I turned to a spot close to Sir Ramoria, and found two figures that seemed close enough to be affiliated with him somehow.
"And you two, I didn't see you before. May I ask your names and if you know Sir Ramoria here?"
~Ereshkigal~
Looking around at the stores, I found a particularly well-furnished staff of sorts. Golden, but strangely lightweight. I picked it up and looked at the top. Unlike many staves I see being sold in other magic stores, the top had only a holder for a stone. Normally, I see staves with stones already set into them and mages only have to get used to controlling its power.
But this one seemed particularly special, and Alal tells me that it would come in handy. So, I took the very little money I had and the staff to the counter, paid for it and left the store. On the cover of Alal, which actually houses some strange being that often talks to me, is a black stone that aids in the concentration and release of the powers Alal grants. So, by direction of the spirit, I took the black stone and set it on the staff, where it fit perfectly.
I held the staff at my side and looked at it for a while. "Perfect."

"Sure thing," he said. Ramoria walked over to the bartender and asked if there was anything that was sweet around. He replied that there was and that it was popular amongst races of all ages. The bartender said it was known as Honeydew, which was basically a mix of sugar and some fresh berries picked from the woods. It was by the mixing of the two, the juices from the berries and the sugar which made it syrupy sweet. Ramoria decided to buy 3 of them and paid the bartender as soon as it was served. Giving it a sniff on his glass, he thought to himself, 'I'm sure this would wake up Jurai easily if he manages to fall asleep. It's so sweet that it'll probably knock his shoes off.'
Going back to where Astartu and Seria were, he took a sip from his cup & his eyes widened in surprise.
"Talk about sweet. They weren't kidding," he said surprised.
- Jurai -
"I get your point. Though...how exactly am I supposed to do that?" he asked.
"Ah...my young grasshopper...that...is for you to find out. You must let go of everything, including emotions, to help you see clearly what your opponent's next move is and to distinguish the real thing from the fake," explained Narya. Clearly he wasn't going to make it easy.
Shifting his footing, Jurai then closed his eyes and tried to do as the mage had told him. He thought he figured out the next move and charged forward again, only this time, the mage just simply stood there waiting, and just when Jurai got near, he did a quick sidestep and with a tap of his staff, knocked Jurai down to the ground.
"You need to take your time and not rush things, or even think you know just by gut instinct," replied Narya. Then stepping back a few paces, he said, "I think that will be all for the meantime. You should probably head to the bar now. Your dad is probably waiting for you."
"Ok. Thank you for the lesson," said Jurai, as he headed out the door. "And tell Faeon and his daughter for the tea and snack. It was great."
"Of course," said the mage, smiling.
By the time he got to the bar, he then spotted his dad with the two that they accompanied.
'Now what is he up to?' he wondered.

"Thanks," I said, as I took the glass from him. Even though I wanted some kind of pastry to munch on, something nice and sweet was good enough, even if it was a drink. Not hesitating, I took the cup and downed the entire think in one gulp. Not the kind of thing you'd expect from a girl, but I was pissed...
"Ah, that was wonderful," I said, quickly getting a kind of high feeling from the sugar. I watched Sir Ramoria's eyes widen and thought to myself 'Yep that's sweet enough.'
"I think I'll get another one..."
~Suria~
Just as Sir Ramoria's did, my eyes widened as I took a sip of Astartu's killer sweet drink. "Holy mackerel, Astartu, how the heck can you survive this stuff?!" I practically shouted as I nearly coughed up the little bit I drank, but Astartu was already on her way back with another cup of that stuff. "Geez, Astartu if you need another one, just take mine. By the power granted to me by Alal, the Destroyer,
I wish ill to my enemies.
Davenia is the target of my rage,
Housed in Suur, northeastern city
Of the country of Mytalzar.
With one swift motion,
Destroy the members of Davenia,
And wipe their very existence
Off the records of time itself.
I chanted an incantation quietly. Without Davenia to worry about, I could wander around by myself to find that pendant...
...in the distance an explosion with no flames or destruction could be heard.

"What exactly are you up to dad?" asked Jurai as soon as he entered.
"Um...I was just uh...getting a drink that's all," he said quickly.
"Sure you haven't been doing anything suspicious behind my back?" he asked carefully.
"Now why would I do that?" asked Ramoria.
"Because you sometimes drink too much, remember?" he pointed out.
"I wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. Just getting a drink for ya. They say it's popular around all the races. Very sweet. Try it," he said, handing him a cup.
Sighing, Jurai said, "If you say so." Taking a quick sip, it nearly sent a shock to his whole body. "What in the world..."
"So...how is it?" asked Ramoria.
"Sweet. Though...too sweet for my taste," he answered, nearly coughing.
Seeing that he saw the two they escorted a while ago...he gave a friendly smile to Astartu again.
"We meet again, m'lady," he said, kissing her hand again.
"You really are a lady charmer, aren't you?" teased his dad, elbowing him again.
"Dad...drop it already," he gritted through his teeth.
Meanwhile, back at Faeon's house, Aeronia was on the balcony thinking. Raieous who was behind her...snuck up and whispered in her right ear, "You're thinking of him...aren't you?"
Startled, she whirled around but didn't realize that he was on the opposite side. "W-what?"
"Jurai. You're thinking about him. You like his well built body. How manly he looks...just seeing him like that turns you on, doesn't it? You just want to have him look at your beautiful body...let him caress it...touch it..." he whispered.
Her breathing became heavy, signaling that she was getting that feeling. But she managed to snap out of it quickly. Fuming, she faced her brother and asked, "What was all that naughty talk for anyway?"
"Hehe...nothing. Just thought you were thinking about him and all," he said quickly.
"Ooohhh...I'm going to kill you!" she shouted, holding out a dagger.
"Yikes," he said and started running.

Yay, he kissed my hand again! I squealed in response. That was enough to make my day. Again. Especially after Ereshkigal's stupid attempts to get all "close" to me. Ick.
"Hello again, Sir Jurai," I said politely. I took another sip from my wonderful drink, now having calmed down enough to take a sip, not down it. After all, by now I'd had...one two...three...about ten of those drinks, I think I'm good enough, hehe!
...but...this wasn't a good time for either of them to be there...
"My good, Sir Jurai...if you don't mind..." I said, getting close to him and hugging him tightly.
~Suria~
I watched in utter awe as Astartu finished her tenth glass. I couldn't even get a single sip down, I can't believe she can. But now stuff gets weird...
"Astartu, stop that!" Now I was being the voice of reason. "Don't make a scene here! You're drunk, stop it!"

"Yes. Though...it was as if there was nothing for them to notice, just...a concealed explosion," said Narya.
"This is probably the work of some black mage. I suggest we go and find out soon," said Faeon.
-Back at the bar-
Jurai blushed as he was held in Astartu's arms.

"What?" he wondered.
"That explosion," he stated.
"I didn't hear anything," answered Ramoria.
'Odd. Something's out of place,' he thought.
"I'll meet you back home in a couple of hours," said Jurai.
"Don't be long," he said.
"I won't," answered Jurai, heading out the door.
-Serpenzard-
Within a icy fortress in a different dimension, a sorcerer of dark power with snake-like eyes was watching gleefully at how things were going.
"That's right little one. Go and see what lies in store. My minions will be more than happy to devour you once they see you, and then the pendant of the dark dragon will belong to me," he said with glee. "Chameleon, Reptile...come forth."
Just then two creatures that resembeled scaly creatures, transformed into human form that wore clothes similar to that of a thief, yet their faces resembled that of their scaly selves.
"Yesss...massssster," said the first.
"What issss thy bidding?" asked the second.
"Take a group of Zombidacs and see to it that this boy doesn't reach his destination," he ordered.
"At once," said Chameleon.
"We won't disappoint you," said Reptile.
"You had better not," he said in a menacing tone.
The two then disappeared with a group of Zombidacs accompanying them.
-Jurai-
As Jurai went deeper into the woods to find out what caused the explosion, he could've sworn he felt a sudden blow of wind heading his way and felt that he was being watched. He whirled around a few times, but saw no one. But just as he turned back to where he was going, 2 human-like creatures emerged from the ground and a few other ugly creatures as well accompanying them.
"Not losssst are you?" asked the first.
Taking out his sword, Jurai prepared to defend himself.
"Who are you? And what do you want?" he demanded.
"We're servants of Master Serpenzard. And we just wanted to have sssssome fun...with our new...arrivalssss," hissed the first one. "I am known as Chamelon."
"And I'm known assssss Reptile," hissed the second.
'This will take a while,' he thought.
"Zombidacs attack!" commanded Reptile.
The creatures resembled that of decayed dead people with an ugly yet disgusting face that looked like dead fish. It spewed a globby gooey substance from its mouth which exploded as soon as it hit the ground. Feeling the force of the blasts, Jurai was thrown back a few feet, till he landed hard on his behind.
"All right. You want to play rough...let's dance," he said. Charging forward with sword in hand, Jurai began his attack. The creatures fired their attack again, but kept missing each time. Then taking his chance, Jurai stepped on one tree with his left, causing him to leap into the air then did the same on the tree to his right to gain even more air, sword raised, he then felt a channel of energy go to his sword. He then shouted out a fire spell.
"Vak Kruz!" he shouted, unleashing 3 huge huge streams of fire at the creatures, causing them to be knocked off their feet and disintegrated a few seconds afterwards.
Landing on his feet, the 2 human-like creatures then took out daggers and struck at the same time on Jurai. Yet he blocked their attempts and forced them back from pushing against his sword.
"Your power may be good. But ours is better. Serpent Strike!" shouted the first, unleashing a powerful force of energy that resembled a serpent's head.
"Guess again. Element Barrier, Fire!" shouted Jurai. A huge barrier of red appeared in front of him blocking the attack.
Then breaking through the barrier, Jurai did a quick spin, and struck from the left on Chameleon, and did another quick spin and struck Reptile from the right, yet both disappeared, and then reappeared behind him and then Chameleon fired his attack again, causing Jurai to be thrown forward from the impact of the blast.
"Impresssive. But not good enough," said Reptile.
"Face it. Our magic is stronger than yours," said Chameleon.
Staggering to his feet, Jurai then began to wonder, 'What do I do now?'

Amazing, but a rather sizable amount of power is coming from the forest. Could it be that my pursuers are there? Though many should have been able to hear the explosion, finding nothing wrong would simply send normal people on their way again without an explanation. From my position, I ran to the forest as fast as I could. If my pursuers truly were there, I was in for some fun...but if it wasn't them, there's still something worth taking a look at.
Once inside, I ran around somewhat aimlessly until I could sense the power again. But this time, I nearly collapsed at feeling it. "What the hell is this?!" I got up and ran towards it. To my surprise, I found Astartu's escort getting pummeled by strangely inhuman beings.
"Damn, how did you get wrapped up with these freaks?" I shouted over to Jurai. "Whatever. Today, you're lucky. I'm gonna help out." I ran to Jurai's side and brandished my newly-bought staff at the two.

'Big mistake,' thought Jurai. Brandishing his sword again, glowing with a red aura, he charged forward on Reptile, who then launched a dark lightning attack from its hands. Jurai just simply used his sword to repel the attack. Then Jurai just took to the air and casted his spell.
"Vak Kruz!" he shouted, unleashing 3 streams of flames again. Only when Jurai was spinning did it create 3 rings of flames surrounding his enemy. Then Jurai unleashed a new spell on Reptile. "Vak Rom!" This spell then created a huge fireball and hurled it towards Reptile, getting the full impact of the blast.
'Right on target,' he thought.

(OOC: Wow! You guys are fast!

I've only been away for 1 day, and you've got this much already!)
The two who had been training in the woods soon left. Luthien made her way back to her steed, and headed off towards Tavindal at a casual pace this time.
She was past the forest now, and Tavindal's gates loomed ahead of her. Just as she was about to request entrance, Luthien sensed some sort of strange explosion. Her mare, Ariwana, had sensed--rather than felt it, which caused her to snort uneasily. Luthien calmed her in the elvish tongue.
What was
that explosion? She wondered briefly.
And, all at once, she sensed an intense battle suddenly commense inside the forest she had only just passed. In the next instant, she turned her steed and rode at a breakneak speek back to the forest.
Something is wrong... She thought as they sped towards the wood.
Pure evil emenates from that forest. But also power... power of a magic swordsman! She had reached the woods now, and raced through them with incredible speed.
A little ways into the woods, Luthien leapt off Ariwana and continued on foot, so as to take whatever enemy there might be by surprise. Even without the aid of the mare, she was incredibly fast. She soon reached the clearing that she had visited earlier. The younger one she had seen before was still there, accompanied by a girl about his same age. The older one was gone, however. And, in his place were two thieves, attacking ferociously. But... were they truly just thieves...?
No. They are something else. Something evil. Sent by an even greater evil. And that boy... he seems to be a magic swordsman in training. But already he fights like a demon! She screeched to a soundless stop at the edge of the clearing.
"I need to get to the bottom of this." Luthien told herself. She then removed two of her concealed throwing daggers, and hurled them at the attackers, wounding one. The other dodged, and hissed at the new threat.
"These are no normal enemies... " She whispered to herself. And, at that moment, she charged from her hiding place, nocked three arrows, and began firing at the fiends.

OOC: Yeah, I have no life and am pretty much here all the time. XD
~Ereshkigal~
A particular problem with using dark magic is the damn slowness of it all. Sorry, guy, but this might take a while. Focus on that freak there, Sir Jurai. And whoever our new savior is, just keep firing those arrows...I need all the time I can get!
"You think a mere lackey could take on Alal?! Even the greatest summoner's works couldn't best the Destroyer! You just keep attacking, it won't be long...before you and your disgusting friend are nothing but ashes!"
By the power granted to me by Alal, the Destroyer,
I pray destruction on my enemy.
Grant to me the power required
To unleash Hell on their world.
And by the order of Ereshkigal,
Dark Sorceress of Suur,
Cause chaos within the minds of
The enemy with whom we fight.
Nux Psukhes!
A powerful spell indeed, it is designed to destroy an enemy by causing disorder within his thought processes. He will become delusional, begin to feel as if he no longer exists in his body, and, thinking that his own body is the enemy, will proceed to destroy it, and in many cases, in some of the most gruesome methods possible.
And just as I suspected, the one who attacked me has been driven from his mind...hahaha...HAHAHA! Die!!!!

Chameleon hissed in pain and anger, whirled around and spotted another attacker. This time, it was an elf.
"Curses. We must retreat," hissed Chameleon.
"Yesss...we must. We ssshall not forget this," said Reptile.
With that said, Reptile then chanted a returning spell.
"Uuza Ujira," he said, and then a dark magic seal appeared below them, causing them to disappear.
Getting to his feet, Jurai then turned to the one who was helping him. First...to the black mage.
"I don't know who you are or how you got here...but I appreciate the assistance," he said. Then, noticing the elf ontop of a horse, he couldn't help but smile at her.
Suddenly, a gust of wind appeared and Narya appeared atop of a branch of a tree, smiling and applauding.
"Very impressive. I wouldn't have expected much less from a magic swordsman. You've seem to have tapped into your own potential I see," he said, impressed.
"Thank you," he said, bowing. "Though...it was just due to that one session that we just had earlier."
"True. But...your training isn't over yet. You've still got a long way to go before you've mastered your element," said the mage. "I'll be watching you from time to time. To see your progress. But when the time is right...then I'll give you your final test. For now...rest up. You'll need it for tomorrow." Realizing that he wasn't alone, he then spotted the one that caused the explosion. "So it was you I see."

"That's right, old man. And I appreciate the thanks, Sir Jurai. We have not yet met, but I saw you escorting my younger sister and adopted brother quite a bit ago. My name is Ereshkigal Tiaka." I said, not worrying about any kind of consequence.
With the target having disappeared, I had to call down Alal's power...with no target to direct the remaining energy, all we could hope for from the remnants of my spell was another good sized explosion capable of killing the lot of us.
"Though it does surprise me that our paths should cross once again in this forest, old man, and quite near the place of our first encounter. Tell me, how do you know that I caused the explosion?" I said, then as an add-on. "Though I bet it has something to do with that amazing aura that surrounds you..."
If I cornered myself, so be it. If I fall here because of three warriors against the darkness, then I am not worthy of bringing the Dragon of Darkness into existence! But I have a feeling they'll let me go...

"I suspected you for the cause of it...considering the aura that surrounds you. However...there's a bigger evil at work here...and those two henchmen you came across earlier...seem to have a connection with that evil. In other words...you're hardly a threat...compared to what is to come later on," explained Narya.
"Nice to meet you," said Jurai. Turning to Narya, he asked, "Bigger evil? What exactly are we talking about here?"
"All will be revealed in due time, young one," said Narya.

"Ugh, I hate old people like you. Can't you at least pretend I have some commendable power?! I'm not a guy, you know! You know what, I challenge you NOW, old man to a good old fashioned duel!" I was quick to anger, especially when it came to an insult... "Besides, I did that to get rid of my own henchmen...they suck..."
...though that did give away a bit of my intention, having been so insulted by a remark about evil.

Hearing the request, Narya turned to Ereshkigal. "I accept," he said.
"What?!" asked Jurai, astonished. 'I better get out of the way.'
"You're move," said the old mage.

~Ereshkigal~
"Haha, glad you accept, old man." I said, rather haughtily. "Though battle is far from "your move" and "mine." Quite simply, battle is "Hit your opponent before they hit you," and with that philosophy this battle is obviously won, is it not?" I wasn't referring to me, but him. With such a simple philosophy this battle was won by that old man before I even started to attack.
"But we'll see what happens..."
I held the staff, which I accordingly named Vis Alalis, and began chanting another spell quietly.

Narya, with staff ready, began chanting a spell of his own.
Jurai watched from a safe distance.
"Both seem to have the same attribute. Now it's just to see who's magic will outstrengthen the other" he said, analyzing the situation.

Let's see how likes a simple conjuration.
"Come forth and destroy my enemy, o dogs of death! Urbat!" I shouted, and on the order, several black snarling dogs appeared at my side. I pointed forward at the old man whose name I still don't know and cried "Get him!"
And swiftly the dogs ran to attack him.

Narya had a smirk on his face and raised his staff and casted his spell.
"Elemental Force of Wind, aid me. MeJuk Rom!" he shouted, unleashing a huge tornado blast at the hounds that were heading towards him.
Narya then twirled his staff a couple of times and then chanted a different spell. This time, it was a summoning spell.
"Forceful Element of Wind, I call upon your aid. Come forth...Guardian of Wind...Wryneck!" he shouted.
Suddenly, the winds started picking up speed and force, and then a creature with a head resembling that of a bird of prey, appeared, holding a small tree in its hand. Its eyes began to glow as it unleashed a powerful gust of wind surrounding the dogs and picking them up at the same time.

"Uh, you can let 'em go old man. Ina Etuti Asbu!" As the wind surrounded and pummeled my attack dogs, from my staff came a large ball made of dark power that made its way towards the wind, breaking through it and providing the dogs of death with a rather formidable shield of darkness.
"And while we uphold that shield, let's use a direct attack spell. From the depths of the ocean, I call upon the power of the goddess of ocean, Tiamat. Direct your rage at my enemy, Tiamatu!" I chanted the incantation required for Astartu's own spell, which I could utilize through Alal's power. Practically all known spells could be utilized through Alal...and if I saw his attacks enough, I could match the old man with his own spells.
Towards the old man came a sizable torrent of water, prepared to wash away everything he had...

Narya took to the air again and this time, casted a double spell.
"Me Juk Kruz!" he yelled, unleashing this time, a series of leaves at the dogs. Then at a certain height, casted the next one. "Juk Zot!" From that spell very high and tall trees came forth and that said, managed to keep the mage on high ground for the meantime as the wave crashed through.

If that's the way you want to play...
Through Alal, tome of Darkness,
I call upon the awesome powers of the abyss,
That trench which devours all things.
With the force of Wind,
The force of Earth,
The force of Water,
The force of Flame,
Direct your rage at my enemy,
And crush him with the force
Of the elements combined!
Judgment of Hell!
Probably my favorite, the Judgment of Hell is one of Alal's most powerful spells. Unless the enemy can control divine power not attached to the winds, the earth, the water, or the flame, resistance is futile. The earth will quake with powerful earthquakes, the waters will churn and devour everything with its might. The winds will blow powerfully, leaving no refuge. And fire, like water, will devour everything in its path. Let's see you withstand that, old man.

After the two enemies had retreated, the girl mage lost her temper and challenged the old mage to a duel, which was currently taking place, and continuing fiercely! However, the girl had just released a mass destruction spell. Luthien was not very skilled in magic, but she knew that this particular spell was nigh impossible to escape. Like a shadow, she appeared at the side of the boy from earlier--the magic swordsman.
"If I were you, I would move. And fast." She whispered, startling him.
"This is a mass destruction spell--nearly impossible to escape." She continued. "My suggestion? We climb the trees and get further away from here. If you have a better idea, it would be best to state it within the next ten seconds--before the spell hits." She finished in a surprisingly calm tone.

"Khak!" Someone hit me with a stone. A rock. A freakin' boulder. Who the hell could through something that big?
And damn! That screwed up my spell. What the hell could happen if the Judgment of Hell is screwed up?! And with that much power already mustered simply by starting the incantation, I don't know what'll happen!
...ugh...I know now...
"Yaaaaargh!!!" All the powers I called upon were now attacking me...waters washed over my body, flame rained down from the heavens onto me, the winds were attacking me, the trees, earth, everything that aligned itself with the powers of earth were attacking me. And such pain did it give me! Weakening...weakening...weakening...good bye...

Jurai turned to the elf that was beside him.
"I agree," he said. With that said, he then took to the air and climbed higher and higher till he nearly reached the top of the tree he was currently on.
Just as he landed, he heard a familiar scream, followed by a series of noise that came afterward.
"Heh...looks like the big bang was suddenly foiled and scattered right around the starter," he realized. "Looks like he got lucky from that big attack."
"Ugh...why would someone do something like that?" wondered the mage. 'And it was just getting good too.' He then made an annoyed pout looking face.
Meanwhile, back atop where Jurai was standing, he then spotted the elf starting to catch up.

Oh dear, I can't be approaching death now. It's too early for someone like me...and I haven't even yet acquired the pendant...duels are meant to direct killing energy at your opponent...I'm not sparring here! I was serious...
Then some smart aleck decided to throw a rock at me. I couldn't do anything about it, or I'd screw up the spell, and besides, I didn't even know it was coming until it already hit.
"Hey, old man...by chance...you won..." I said, rather weakly, and winked at him. "Never got the chance to know your name, but that's fine..." I tried to stand up from the place where all of that energy pummeled me to near death. "Trust me though...you'll see me again sometime. And maybe then we can have a real duel...hahaha..." With that, I began a teleportation spell to return me to Suur. It's been two weeks since I've been back home...
~Astartu~
(OOC: About time I started putting stuff up for her too.)
"Hey, Suria, you feel that weird wave of energy?" I asked. It's not normal for large amounts of energy to be emitted from anything, whether a tome, a battle, a staff, or any other kind of magical device. Suria looked at me strangely and shook his head. I made a face. Was he really that out of tune with this surroundings? Gee.
I played around with the pendant I just bought as Suria and I walked around Tavindal to find some more things to bring home. We had long said goodbye to Sir Ramoria, and it had been quite a while since Suria managed to "sober me up" again. I wasn't even drunk!
Ah, it's beautiful...golden chain...azurite, deep blue... And Suria bought it for me! I picked him up and hugged him as we walked along. He struggled, of course. Ehehe.
