"Well then," Luthien said after the mage had departed. "If that is all, I suggest we all get some rest. It will be a long day tomorrow, and we have yet to prepare supplies for our journey."
Luthien had always loved adventures...
Before her father disappeared, he would tell her ancient stories of elves, men... many races and the adventures they had which had been recorded in elven history--and quite accurately, since the elves lived for thousands upon thousands of years... and had seen much. When she was younger, Luthien had always imagined herself on one of those adventures. Although, back then, she had always imagined herself traveling with her father on those adventures. She did not know quite why he suddenly disappeared, but... she had decided to finally begin her own adventure in search of him.
Unfortunately, that adventure had not gone very far. For some strange reason, she could not find a trace of her elven father anywhere. He could not have died... for she would have felt it. But, traveling across the land had caused her to grow to love it, and soon she became content to just travel the land, exploring and learning new things... which was how she had come to learn about the legend of Beren and the Mystic Mana Gems.
Although, she wondered why her father had never told her of it. Especially since this one seemed widely known. Her father had prided himself in knowing many tales, and since this one was so commonly known... why had he not heard it? Or... had he purposely kept it from her? And if so, why? She had gone looking for more information on the one adventure tale her father had forgotten... or for some reason, purposely neglected to tell her... and had ended up where she had began... among elves.
Yes, this would be an interesting journey. A journey to regain the lost gems of Beren.
(OOC: Sorry this post wasn't very inclusive to the other characters.

I just couldn't leave it at that one thing Luthien said though, so... I expanded on the story about her father. ^^)
