[Shiidou Hikaru]

*Zazu taps Hikaru on the shoulder. When she turns around Zazu points to the main viewscreen of the NSX starship. Great shards of clear crystal can be seen streaking down towards the surface of Cephiro below. The sky is filled with them everywhere.*



Hikaru -



O.O



"Oh no!! Cephiro's enemy must be attacking!! We can't wait around any longer, but .. I need my sword .."



*Hikaru closes her eyes, calms herself, then concentrates. After just a moment, Hikaru raises her right arm, opens her eyes and calls out a name ...*



"Rayearth!!"



*Instantly, her sword materializes in her hand and her Magic Knight's armor materializes on her person. Then in another dimension far away, the mashin Rayearth instantly awakens at the call of his master, Hikaru. From there Rayearth transports to the sky above Cephiro, just outside the NSX Starship. There Hikaru is taken to her place inside of Rayearth.*



Rayearth: "Danger has befallen Cephiro, and once again I come to your aid Hikaru."



"It is good to see you again Rayearth and hear your voice, but that is correct. We must stop those crystals before they shred Cephiro to ribbons."

Zazu ---



I stood wide eyed. "Where did Hikaru-chan go?" I said as I made my way to the contols of the NSX. I began to surf around until I looked directly above. "There she is!" I then turned and looked at Umi and Fuu. "So... are you guys going to do that too? Cause' i'll follow you down to Cephiro"

*Hikaru turns and looks back at the NSX. Through one of the large viewing windows, she can see Zazu-kun waving back at her. She can also see her companions Umi and Fuu. However, they are sitting on the floor with their backs to each other taking naps.*



Hikaru -



*sighs* "Looks like it's up to us this time Rayearth. Let's go."



*Hikaru and Rayearth go to meet the swarm of crystals decending upon Cephiro from the sky. Hikaru takes a swipe at one of them with her sword.*



"Yaaaahh!!"



*It shatters. Then she does it again, and again, and again. But she soon takes a break.*



"There are too many of them Rayearth! I'll never be able to break them all, not by myself!!"



Rayearth: "The crystals are made of ice. Use your magic Hikaru."



"Ice? Erm, okay here goes ... Honoo no Ya!!"



*Hikaru's Flame Arrow magic tears a path through the ice crystals vaporizing them.*



"It worked Rayearth, but I was able to destroy only a small number of them. There are still thousands of those ice crystals headed for Cephiro. We need help, Umi and Fuu need to join us, but ... hey, maybe Zazu can help!"



*Hikaru heads back to the NSX. Even though she is outside the ship, Zazu is still able to hear her with the ship's technology.*



"Zazu, you need to help me out if you can. The crystals are made of ice. Can you use the starship's power to melt them? And please try to wake up Umi and Fuu if you can. I won't be able to do this alone."



*Then Hikaru thinks to herself* "Ice crystals .. why does that seem so familiar? Where have I seen magic like that before?"

Zazu --



*staring at Hikaru-chan as she fights the crystals* "Go Hikaru-chan!" *holds up a fan with her picture on it* "She's so amazing!" *has hearts in eyes*



Hikaru then comes down and asks me for help. I gave her the thumbs up and she went back to smashing all of the ice.



I ran over to the controls of the ship and grinned as I jolted the ship back and fourth until Umi and Fuu awoke.



Umi - "What's going on?"



Smirking I said "Hikaru-chan needs your help beating the crystals. Get your butts out there and help her!" "As for me... I need to help in some way." An idea then popped into my head "I've got it!" I said as I ran out of the room.



Fuu - "Where are you.... going?"



I made my way down a long hallway until I came to a large mechanical door. To open the doors required a password. I punched in a few numbers doors opened. Inside were dozens of small single mecha fighter crafts. "Eagle was usually the one to do this... but oh well" I said as I climbed into one.



After playing around with the switches for a few minutes, the hatch suddenly opened revealing the outside of the NSX. "Time for some fun!" I said as I blasted off.



I looked around for Hikaru-chan when I spotted her destroying more of the ice. I pressed a button in the craft and flame-thrower guns opened. They then turned on and began to melt the ice.



"How's this for helping?" I smiled to Hikaru.

*Umi and Fuu take a look around them and notice that they are alone on the bridge of the starship because Zazu has left them.*



Fuu: "Umi-san?"



Umi: "Erm, what?"



Fuu: "You .. wouldn't happen to know how to fly this thing? Would you?" ^_^;;



Umi: O.O;; *mouth twitches*

Hikaru -



"Yeah! That's pretty good Zazu! But we don't have time to chat, there's a lot of work to do!"



*With fire magic and flamethrower Hikaru and Zazu make good progress in eliminating the icicle crystals raining down on Cephiro. However, their time begins to run out as the ice crystals start to land on the surface of Cephiro.*



"Oh-no!! We're not going to make it!"



*Hikaru and Rayearth set down on the ground and look around.*



"I hope that no one is around here Rayearth, that ice would freeze them solid if they got caught."



Rayearth: "Less than a mile West of here there is a village."



"They might be in trouble, let's go now!"



*Hikaru and Rayearth blaze through the ice storm going in the direction indicated by Rayearth.*

Alcyone looks at Hikaru's efforts from her crystal ball. She isn't pleased. She layd her hand on the ball and spelled:" Ice! I call thee! Profill my wish! Fill the scy of your power!"

*Hikaru and Rayearth reach the village. There is some ice there already, but no people can be seen.*



Hikaru -



"There doesn't seem to be anyone here."



Rayearth: "They're hiding in the buildings."



"Oh dear, they must be afraid of the ice attacks and are hiding from them. And I can remember from when I was here before, that the people's fear can create horrible monsters that generate even more fear."



Rayearth: "Yes, you remember correctly."



"Then I'll go and talk to them and reassure them that things will be alright. With their will helping us, I know that we can defeat this ice attack magic. Which building are they hiding in Rayearth?"



Rayearth: "The large one in the center of the village."



"Okay. I'm going down there now."



*Hikaru teleports down from Rayearth into the large building in the village. The sudden appearance of a Magic Knight in the place causes the villagers to recoil in fear and the retreat from her into the corners of the room.*



Hikaru: "No, wait! Please don't be afraid."



*One of the bolder members there speaks up.*



Villager: "What do you want from us? Why have you attacked our village with this freezing ice?"

Princess Emerudae became concious. She saw Cephiro was in trouble.



"Oh no..."



She got up and looked around. Emerudae noticed a larger ice crystal heading towards the NSX.



"Ah! UMI-CHAN! FUU-CHAN! WATCH OUT!"



She screamed crying.

*Hikaru is a little startled by the man's remarks.*



Hikaru -



"Huh? I'm not the one attacking Cephiro, I'm here to help you!"



Villager: "But you came here by magic! You're a sorceress, and who else could be attacking us? It can only be you!"



"Erm, yeah, you're right, I did come here by magic, but I'm not a sorceress, I'm Hikaru, one of the Magic Knights."



Villager: "Impossible! The Magic Knights are only a legend. They don't really exist!"



Voice from the back of the room: "No, that's not true!"



*From the shadows an elderly woman slowly comes forward and stands next to the other villager.*



Woman: "The Magic Knights aren't just a legend, they were real people."



Villager (to the woman): "How would you know? You're just an old woman!"



Woman: "Because I saw them with my own eyes."



*The room now becomes hushed.*



Woman: "Long ago when I was a young child, I met and talked with them in the Castle of Cephiro. Those memories are faded now, and I wasn't sure if this young lady was one of them until I heard her strange name."



*The elderly woman walks up close to Hikaru and looks her in the eyes.*



Woman: "You are the Magic Knight Hikaru, the young lady of great courage that I knew when I was a young girl."



*Hikaru looks back at her calm, green eyes and recognizes her.*



Hikaru: "You're Mira aren't you? You were just a little girl, younger than I am last time we met, but you're aged now. How long has it been since we left Cephiro the last time?"



Mira: "That was more than seventy years ago. Life was hard in Cephiro after you left, but it has been peaceful until very recently. Somehow, I thought that you might come back, Magic Knight."



Villager: "So .. it's really true? You're a Magic Knight?"



Hikaru: "Yes I am. Cephiro is being attacked by someone using ice magic .."



Mira: "Alycione."



Hikaru: "What did you say?"



Mira: "Alycione is the one attacking Cephiro. And she is the one who likes to use ice magic."



Hikaru: "Yes, that's true, but how can you be sure that it's her Mira?"



Mira: "I can still remember how you fought her Hikaru, right here in this very same village all of those years ago, I never forgot that. It's something that I can't really explain, but I know that the magic is hers."



Hikaru: "I believe you Mira. So now we all know who our foe is. But Alycione is strong. So far I've been unable to defeat her and her ice magic is slowly freezing all of Cephiro. Everyone here in the village, I need your help."



Another Villager: "But what can we do? We can't use magic like you can."



Hikaru: "Your will is all the power that you need. In Cephiro the will determines everything. If you hide in the darkness and in fear and wait for the end to come, we will all be defeated. But if you believe that we can beat Alycione, if you really wish for me to succeed and save Cephiro, then that's what will happen, we won't be defeated."



Mira: "Right! Everyone - listen to Magic Knight Hikaru, she speaks the truth!"



Villager: "Then that is what we will do!"



*The other villagers come out of the shadows and gather around Hikaru and salute her.*



Villager: "You have our support Hikaru. I know the legends of the Magic Knights, as does everyone else here. We know that you cannot fail!"



Hikaru: "Thank you very much, everyone!" ^_^



*Telepathically Rayearth calls to Hikaru.*



Rayearth: "Hikaru-sama! The ice attacks are escalating!"



Hikaru: "I need to go now everyone, the ice attacks are getting worse, but that won't make any difference, not with all of you behind me. As soon as this is over, I'll come back to see all of you, and especially you Mira."



Mira: "Fight well, Hikaru."



*Hikaru teleports back up to Rayearth.*

I saw Hikaru-chan get back into Rayearth. She flew up into the sky and began to attack the ice, only this time with more force. I continued to use my flame-throwers until they began to run out. "No, no, no! Don't run out!," I sighed. "Looks like I'll have to contact Hikaru-chan."

I fiddled around with some buttons on the ship, when by accident clicked a red button with the letters NSX on them. "Erm... I hope I didn't just do something bad..." I said. I looked at the screen in front of me. A picture of the large starship could be seen. "Whew... at least I didn't make it explode." But there was something wrong as I continued looking at the screen. "What is that thing coming towards the ship?" I used a digital telescope to reveal what it was.

I suddenly screamed. "HIKARU-CHAN! ICE IS GOING TO DESTROY THE NSX!"

*Hikaru stops fighting the ice attack long enough to take a look in the direction of Zazu's concern. She sees a large asteroid of ice on a collision course with the NSX.*



Hikaru -



"Oh no!! Umi-chan! Fuu-chan! Zazu's power is exhausted. For some reason Umi and Fuu haven't transformed into Magic Knights. If I rescue them, Cephiro might be destroyed, but if I save Cephiro, my friends will die! What should I do Rayearth?? Please tell me!"

"AHHHHH"Umi screamed as the ship started to fall into the ground.



(How does she change into the knight?^_^;

Rayearth: "The other Magic Knights already have the power to escape, but they lack the knowledge. That is what you must provide for them Master Hikaru."



"Knowledge? What ..?"



*Hikaru looks towards the NSX starship again.*



"Of course! They can escape in the NSX starship, but the problem is that they don't know how it works!"



*Hikaru to Zazu.*



"Zazu-kun! Can you still communicate with the NSX starship?"



*Zazu indicates that he can.* ^_^



"Zazu, you must instruct Umi and Fuu how to operate the ship so that they can escape! Right now I can't help them because I have to stay here and protect Cephiro. I'll take care of the ice attacks, you need to help Umi and Fuu!!"



*Hikaru turns back towards the ice attacks.*



"Alycione, if anything happens to my dear friends, I swear you will pay dearly for it!!"



*Hikaru and Rayearth blaze with battle aura, and then attack the ice.*



"HYAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"

I sighed. "I hope these girls can understand the instructions" I tapped into a microphone that was on the ship. "Umi, Fuu, can you hear this?" Both girls looked startled. They had no idea where the voice was coming from. "It's me Zazu... listen carefully to the instructions I'm about to give you. First off.. go to the control panel of the ship."



Both girls ran over to it. "Now what?" Fuu said. "Do you see a large keyboard?" I continued.



Fuu - "Yes"



Zazu - "Good. Click the button that says 'AS' " Without hesitation. the girls hit the button and the ship started to move upward.



Umi - "What's going on??"



Zazu - "Is the ship beginning to ascend. Is it going up?"



Fuu - "Yes, Mr. Zazu"



Zazu - "Okay... now... walk to your left and see a computer screen that is blue. Do you see it?"



Fuu - "Yes"



Zazu - "Good... now, see the arrows below it. One is pointing down and the other up? Keep clicking the up arrow until it reaches 40 degrees. Once you do that, walk over to the large steering wheel and move it to the right. The ship will turn 40 degrees.. and if my calculations are right.. the ship should be out of harms way. Now.. when you complete that, click the "FP" on the keyboard for Full power and blaze out of there! Do you understand?"

"I think so"umi said as she pushed the arrow up a few times.When it reached 40 degrees she turned the ship to the right then hit the FP button and zoomed away.Without thinking how fast the ship would go Umi fell and slid back to the back of the ship."Ow"@__@

*With a berzerker fury Hikaru and Rayearth blaze though the ice attacks and finish them off. At last the skies over Cephiro are clear again.*



Hikaru -



(breathing heavily) "There .. it's finished! .. Cephiro won't be destroyed .. that easily .. Alycione!"



*A moment later she catches her breath and turns to Zazu.*



"Are you okay Zazu-kun? That wasn't an easy victory."



*Zazu indicates that he is okay.* ^_^



"You'll need to get back to the NSX starship right away. Alycione could attack again at any time."



*Hikaru and Rayearth grab ahold of Zazu and his mecha and get ready to take him back to the NSX ...*



"Huh??"



*Hikaru looks around in every direction.*



"Where's the starship? I can't see the NSX starship anywheres!"



Rayearth: "The ship from Autozam is a great distance away from us and travelling at high speed into deep space."



O.O;; "Whaaatt?? How is that possible .. erm?"



*Hikaru looks at Zazu.*



"Erm .. Zazu .. you did tell Umi and Fuu how to stop the ship .. right?"

Zazu - "heh heh heh, would you kill me if I said no Hikaru-chan?"



From inside Rayearth, Hikaru looked like she was about to jump into the small mecha fighter and strangle me.



Zazu - " heh heh heh *tries to look away from the screen with Hikaru-chan on it* Don't worry. If those girls have any common sense *coughs* and I hope they do, they will realize tere is a 'stop' button on the control pannel"

[Shiidou Hikaru]

*Hikaru envisions Umi in the mallet scene.*



*sighs*



Hikaru -



*Thinks to herself* "Well at least I can count on Fuu-chan to keep her cool in a situation like this. She's smart enough to figure out a solution to this to, so I think I can trust her and Umi-chan to come back safely."



*Speaks up*



"No, I'm not going to hurt you Zazu-kun, but ..."



*With Rayearth's hand, Hikaru gives Zazu and his mecha a nice big noogie.* :P



"Well, you can't go back to the NSX starship at the moment, so I'll take you down to Cephiro before the power in your mecha is completely gone."



*Hikaru and Rayearth take Zazu and his mecha down and set him on the ground near the village that Hikaru had recently visited. There, Hikaru and Rayearth separate. Hikaru reverts back to her casual Magic Knight attire and Rayearth disappears and returns to his own dimension.*



"Okay Zazu, you can come out now."

I popped open the door to the small mecha and jumped out onto the grass.



Zazu - "Fresh air at last! It was getting rather stuffy in that small thing."



I stretched for a few minutes and put on my goggles. After, I opened the hood to the mecha fighter to see what was wrong with it. Black smoke then came all over my face. I threw off my goggles, and my entire face was black except around the eyes. Hikaru-chan then laughed at me =P



Zazu - *smirks* Very funny Hikaru-chan! Well, I figured out the problem with the mecha fighter.



Hikaru - What's broken in it?



Zazu - "There are actually a few problems with it. There are screws missing all over the place. I must have taken out an old model. Not to mention that the flame-throwers are completely dead. Those will need replacing."



I looked over at Hikaru.



Zazu - Sorry, I must be boring you ^_^;; So, what are you gonna do when Umi and Fuu get down here?

"When Umi and Fuu return, we'll have to go to the Castle of Cephiro and find out what happened to Princess Emeraude. We'll have to find out why she called for us to come back here to Cephiro."



*Zazu nods.*



"Nearby there's a village. I promised the people there that after I stopped the ice attacks, I would return to visit with them and an old friend. Hopefully, they'll give us a place to spend the night and .." *giggles* ".. you could use a bath too Zazu. Let's go." ^_^



*Hikaru and Zazu start walking together towards the village.*



"Erm .. Zazu, I still worry about Umi and Fuu. They've never piloted a ship through space before. What if they go so far away that they get lost and can't find their way back?"



*Hikaru starts to wring her hands again as she walks.*



"And Princess Emeraude, I worry about her too. She's in some kind of trouble, but it's taking us forever to help her. And if Umi and Fuu don't return right away, how long will I have to wait for them, and not help the Princess?"



*They walk along a little futher, but then Zazu stops. He bends down and picks up a small stone. It's sort of roundish and smooth, almost polished. Zazu hands it to Hikaru.*



"Erm ..?"



*She holds it in her hands for a moment, but then starts to rub it with her fingers.*



"A worry stone. Thank you Zazu-kun. You think that I worry too much, don't you? Well you're probably right Zazu, I seem to worry about everything for some reason or another. I really don't know why ..."



*Hikaru and Zazu start to walk towards the village again.*
