I'm not being bitchy just a lil annoyed is all.  I said many months ago that if in doubt I'd go down to Redditch or London if he couldn't make it up to Scotland, but as I never got dates I couldn't book or plan a way of getting there.  My only option now really is if I ever get to the states (which is looking very very slim now) I can visit him.

I didn't know either. Im not blaming anyone cos I thought when Liz mentioned it later in the summer.
*sweatdrop*

I'm in the same situation though Robin, I'm going out with my mom tomorrow because we haven't spent any time together recently with all the problems with my sister so even if some of us get's to meet MJ, Im not going to be one of them. So I'll have to get to the states sometime.
Now Im not blaming anyone I just thought it seemed a little hard. Sorry if I offended. D:

---

Anyways, Mj if you go to Ireland nect year I will be so jealous! XD
Because I have some family roots there [like soo many people like yourself, caz and im sure neil as well] I've always wanted to go there.
If you ever get the chance to go there next year then I want LOTS of pictures! C:

The original intent was to go to Scotland, but it wasn't until only a few days ago that I found out that it would cost too much. There wasn't any intent to leave anyone out, but it was unclear how my time here would be divided up once I'd arrived here. Above all it has been a family holiday and not a personal one, so while I would very much enjoy meeting everyone, I realized that wouldn't be easy as there are at least four different locations that I would have to travel to in the UK. However, it's likely that Redditch is the only one that I will be able to get to. I've tried to let everyone know what's been going on by posting things in this thread because right now it's the only way that I can make contact with anyone online. I was hoping that I could've met Simmiess in London yesterday, but the forum is a pretty slow way to have a conversation and real life moves along much faster. I know that some people can plan their holiday itinerary in minute detail, but unfortunately. I'm not one of them and I prefer to plan things as I go along and am able to collect concrete information. My father always talked about how much he enjoyed Scotland when he visited there years ago and it was even one of his dreams to go there for retirement (but that never happened unfortunately). So I very much want to visit Scotland still, but it's just not going to happen on this trip. I also didn't realize that it would be upsetting for anyone not to meet up with me, and I'm really sorry if anyone's feelings have been hurt over this. Because I didn't cash in the free airline ticket that I could get from United, I'm already thinking about a second trip that I would likely make on my own within the next year. So if anyone gets left out this time, I'll be certain to hit them all the next time around.

Oh my goodness! What would we do without our friends?

Well its more likely me coming to America to see you Mj.  After this summer my free time I'll probably be seeing Liz as I'm hopefully going into the Police force so my holidays will not be very free.  So it'll be later next year probably.

Hmm, well, above all I want you and your family to have a good time. So if that involves not meeting us, then that's fine. I just want you to enjoy your holiday most of all. ^_^

I am actually free tomorrow and some of Tuesday... but, it's not really a great time on the whole. Tomorrow's too short notice, and my Dad is flying off to Munich for the World Cup on Tuesday sometime. Plus, I'm in the middle of moving stuff from house to house, and my mum's going to be admitted to hospital on Thursday. So, it's not a great week for me to be socialising. >_< Plus, I'm not sure who else would actually be able to meet you with me, and I'd feel excessively guilty even if I did, as everyone else would have missed out...

To be honest, if you can't meet us this time round, then it doesn't matter, as long as you had a good time ^_^ But if you'd have mentioned it, I'd have gone to Cadbury World with you. =P

And I'll try and drag myself to the US with Robin too ^_~

Erm, I tried to call Sheepy a few times yesterday to see if someone could meet me at the train station, but all I got was the answering service. Would anyone be able to do it? Maybe I should have tried to do it on the weekend instead ...

Oh my goodness! What would we do without our friends?

Today we didn't do much of anything, just stayed home and watched movies and washed the laundry for the most part (clean clothes are a goodness thing ^_^). Tomorrow, we're going back to London, so I'll have a second chance to meet Simmi-chan if you see this tonight. XD

Erm, you did? My phone was on all day yesterday, and I didn't get any missed or any calls... o_o My number is ????? here in the UK... Maybe you didn't have the right number? But yesterday I was out with family anyway, as it was Father's Day. ^_^;; So I probably couldn't have made it.

I was going to suggest possibly tomorrow, but if you're in London instead, have fun there, and hopefully I'll see you myself in America (Robin's invited me along ^_^;;) or on your next trip here! ^__^

(Got the phone # and edited it off the board - MJ-chan Thanks! - Sheepy-chan)

Nope, I had a different number, so I guess it's been a loong time since I've called you on the phone Liz-chan. ^_^;;

There's a lot of stuff in London that we didn't see, so we're going to go back there tomorrow. On Wednesday we're supposed to go to Legoland in Windsor, but it's supposed to rain too, so I'm not sure if that will get called off or not. On Thursday we're supposed to go to Windsor Castle and then that will finish things up. On Friday we go back to America (my sis will probably be glad to be rid of us by then :P). If you guys are planning to come to the U.S. it will depend on which part if I'll be able to meet you when you're there are not. Sometime before next year I want to come back here to the UK for a more extended visit and if I come alone I might get brave and rent a car which would make travelling around a little more convenient (and dangerous too. :P). It's really sad that it's likely that I won't meet anyone, but such as it's always been and so far I've never met an online friend IRL.

Erm, watcha doin' tomorrow Amy-chan? Maybe you could come with us, but I'm not sure how far out of the way it would be to pick you up. I could ask, but I'd need to know asap if you want to go.

Today we went to London to see the Tower of London and hear all of the lurid stories of 16th century British political intrigues. :P We also got to see the Crown Jewels and the armory which was really cool too. Then we took a short walk to  the Tower Bridge which is very close by and took a few pictures. After that we took the tube back to St James to see Buckingham Palace, but it was closed today so all that we got to see were a couple of the Beefeater guys out front doing their thing. On the way back we didn't quite make it to the train station because the tube was broken down for the last leg we needed to go on. Fortunately it was only one stop away so we squeezed our way out of the tube onto Baker Street and walked the rest of the way to the Marylebone train station. In the process we also found the Sherlock Holmes Museum at 221B Baker Street. ^_^

It seems to have been a busy time for most of us, but that's not really anything new. Next week when I get back to work, things will be very busy for me too. *Huggles Simmiess* Maybe things will work out better next time.

Today we went to Legoland Windsor with the kiddies and they all enjoyed it very much. I thought that it was a really fun place too. The displays of the buildings and towns made with Lego blocks were really impressive, but I noticed that they cheated in a few places. Things like the spokes of the London Eye were made with metal rods instead of Lego blocks. :P It was a really beautiful day for the trip too with lots of sunshine, but windy at times. There weren't large crowds of people and the longest that I can remember waiting for one of the rides was only about five minutes. I'm sure that it's much more crowded on the weekends. The traffic was really bad in a few places on the drive down there. I know that the British really love their roundabouts, but having one at the junction of motorway type roads causes a great deal of traffic congestion I've noticed. The traffic queues at the junction of M40 and A404 were at least a mile long on either approach. @_@
