PE Detention? That's a new one on me, but somehow I believe you when you say it wasn't very effective. ^_^;; That reminds me of something that happened once in a university PE class that I was in. In PE you get to actually do cool things at university level and one of the classes I took was archery. One day we were doing something outside called "clout shooting" I think, but it meant shooting at a large target chalked on the ground many meters away. To hit the center, you have to shoot high in the air and have the arrow come down in the center of the target. One of the others in the class brought his own compound bow to class to use that instead of the school equipment (we were allowed to do that). The stupid thing was that he never hit the target, not the bullseye, I mean the entire target. In fact he never found any of his arrows afterwards and was pretty puzzled by that. So at the end of class, we went back to the gym (archery was outside of course) and as we got closer to the building I looked up and saw in the roof of the gym building a number of arrows stuck in the roof of the gym building. Sure enough, the belonged to the guy with that brought his compound bow with him. He must have forgotten that one of those things are about five times as powerful as the ones the rest of us were using. ^_^;;
