As in, what really stood out the most for you, or what made you love it like you do?
For me, it would be the sincerity and purity of the story; it's not just some other anime that was made solely for the entertainment of perverted otaku. I can't really explain too well, but it really moved me.

I really liked the fact that it started with three girls who knew nothing of each other and eventually became the best of friends through their adventures

MKR is a bit unusual because it is difficult to pin down as a genre type. It has some strong shoujo elements like Haine-chan mentions, but the sword fighting and mecha themes are more suited to a shounen type anime. The RPG elements could belong to either, so it's very unclear which way to go. For me MKR is a "girl power" show unlike any other. There are some shows like the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series that come close, but I don't think it can match up being as epic as Rayearth. MKR sets the bar in this regard.

I totally agree with that
