Gah, they called Caldina Gardina in the manga translations! D: I'm sure they had their reasons... I think, but it totally sent me on a rampage of horror.

They did? Even in the right-to-left ones? I know that in the original left-to-right series, she had two or three different spellings across the six books (the translation for those is pretty spotty in a lot of places; the rereleased r-to-l ones fixed most of that).

If you listen to them speak her name in Japanese it is really, really hard to distinguish between "Caldina" and "Gardina" so I don't really know which one is correct. "Caldina" is much more widely accepted though.
