Hey Hikaru-chan!

I have a few other forums I go to, and I have found one thing that's really fun is something called a "Cbox". You probably heard of it, but I'll explain just incase.

It's basically this small *FREE* mini chat-board that you can attach to your forum. It reminds me of msn messenger....only it's for all members....and it's on a website. I find it very convenient, since you don't even have to refresh the website to see any replies. <3

I've seen those on other forums so I can take a look and see if there is a mod to add one to IPB. Some time ago I let the license expire for this Invision BBS software so I might not be able to get access to modification packages. I'll look anyways though.

Implementing upgrade packages was always a trial and error process with IPB and more than once I messed things up here so I decided to stop doing them. I like the way the forum works and there are very few complaints from the members so I just decided to leave this version as is and not keep paying for upgrades. By now our version is probably way behind IPB's current version, so adding a chatbox mod might be a lot of work. ;;

You can read it, then decide whether you can try it out or not... If it really is hard to have a cbox, then you really don't have to bother with it.

It's really just a "paste the code" thing... At least that's what I get from it....

I moved it down to the footer if you want to see what that looks like Itena-san. It's a lot less noticeable down there I think.

I also found out that Invision does have chat, image gallery, and community blog components that I can purchase and add to the forum.

Oh really? That's good! It looks like I triggered something, then?

Erm, well I'd have to upgrade the forum to version 2.2 and buy the components so it would be a significant expense for me. I'm not sure how badly new components are needed so I would like to get a feel from the forum as a whole before putting a lot of cash into it. Of course contributions would always be welcome.

I'm very computer-adept, like most people these days.....with the exception of buying on the internet. This is because my father never let me since he doesn't trust it. He thinks people are going to take his credit card number and scam him.

It seems this has never gone past testing stage.

I guess it sort of got left there as a test. I'm sorry Itena-chan, I guess that I wasn't really sure what to do next.
