So.. if anyone didn't know--today is Canada day ^^ <333 Celebrate and have fun with me XD!

I live in Tennessee, but I can walk up to Canada before the day's over if I don't take any stops.

So why is it called Canada Day? What do you all do on this day?

I guess it's called Canada Day cause we didn't want to copy America with the whole '4th of July' -- '1st of July' =P Celebrates all of Canada joining into Confederation.

Today there were supposed to be fireworks and stuff like America's 4th of July. Unfortunately everything was cancelled here in my town because the weather has been horrible.

According to my newspaper, "Today in 1867, Canada became a self-governing dominion of Great Britain as the British North America Act took effect."

...I don't know much of anything, but Happy Canada Day nevertheless. ^^;

Mhm -- when Canada became part of the British federation -- or something along that line anyway XD heh.. been awhile since I was in a history class <_>

I've never heard of Canada Day? Maybe because i live in england But it sounds good

Happy Canada Day Yuzuki-chan! I've known about it because you've posted these in past years. And I do believe you're correct that you're the only Canadian on the forum, although I'm pretty close to Canada myself. I really could walk to the border from my house in a day Casey-sensei, it's only about 50 miles away.
