One of the members sent me a PM asking if this forum had a shoutbox feature, but as it is now, there isn't one. IPB does have a mod that can be installed to add one, so I'm just asking to see if anyone else is interested in it. If you are please post your thoughts, good or bad about the idea so that I can decide whether to install it or not.

Erm, well ... a little different from the response that I was expecting. ;;

A shoutbox is functionally similar to a chatroom. The main difference is that it remains open all the time on the web page that you happen to be viewing, in our case the forum pages. It would be formatted to appear in one of the sidebars. At any time someone can post a message in it, so if you're a rather impulsive person, then a shoutbox might be a fun thing for you.
