Full Version: Happy Independance Day Everyone!
Happy Fourth of July to all of the American forum visitors today (and Yuzuki-chan too ^_^) as we celebrate the day that we told the British to go home. Took 'em five years to leave though. XD
Nyaha...happy Independence Day, hm...
Well, even if it took five years to go away...we're still a free and autonomous country...! ^^
Yakusoku shiyou
Yume mite iyou
Itsumademo kono kimochi
Taisetsu ni shitai
Let's make a promise
That we'll keep dreaming
I want to make this feeling
Important to us always

Yup, the Revolutionary War didn't end until 1781, but it wasn't until 1787 that the Constitution was ratified. So it took even longer for us to figure out how to rule ourselves. :P
Happy Independance Day everyone here xD

Heh...likewise to all Americans.
(thinks: Man...all that history about how we defeated the British & all that stuff...I think I might have to find a way to refresh my memory on all that stuff. (At least I'm taking U.S. History as a junior).
"Do not be sad & do not weep, for not all tears...are from evil" - Gandalf, LOTR: Return of the King. (It's one of my favorite quotes from the movie)
