Hmm, a blend is a mix of separate pictures that are put together. You usually also add nice brushes and stuff to make it look good. I guess that's a pretty bad definition. The blends I make are usually for challenges where websites provide pictures for you and you blend them together. It's a competition where the best blends are awarded gold, silver, bronze etc. I think it's fun xD; There aren't many jrock/pop blending websites though >.< So my sister and I are in the process of creating one ^^

Ohh, if you have Photoshop you should be able to do some amazing blends ne! Hmmm.. I'm not sure how much you know about Photoshop though ^^; You can download some PS brushes and add textures to your graphics. Brushes and textures will make your graphics look really good.

HHOw do you do that? In layers? is there any tutorial where I can find how to do that? cause it?s amazing hte fast you do such a nice jobs

She's definatly using layers. ( You sort of have to. ) She also tweaked the color and added a few affects. You can find tutorials here and there across the internet but its hard to come by the one you want to read. Its easier if you can find some one in real life to help you out.

Docs-san is right Zagato-san... I am using layers. I put together a tutorial... It's not very good though.



To Create a Blend!



1) First thing, find the pictures you want to blend with. For my example, I chose Fujiki Naohito. ( <3 ) So, once you have the pictures, arrange them on your canvas (?). Erase the backgrounds for the pics. It should then look something like this: HERE



2) After everything is arranged the way you want it, find a texture you like and paste it as a new layer. Good texture websites:

My example: HERE



3) Once you have done that, change the texture from normal to something else ( like hard light) Your pic should then appear something like this : HERE ** the look will vary depending on what layer you chose.



4) Once you have added as many layers as you want ( I added some more to mine~ ) Then go to the brushes and choose ones you like and put them on the blend.

Mine: HERE ** A good place to get brushes is veredgf.fredfarm.com/vbrush/main.html



5) Once you have added all the brushes you want, you can crop all unnecessary extra space. My example: HERE



6) I added the text (his name) and then merged all the layers together, added a border... then added one extra final texture and some more brushes. Mine : HERE



And so.. the final product should look something like this: Finished Blend



Ano.. I know that was a horrible tutorial.. but I can't think of how to explain it any better ^^;;

Erm, I don't think that It was horrible at all Yuzuki-chan. You make it sound really easy, so maybe I should give it a shot just to prove it. Of course there isn't any tutorial that could make up for my lack of artistic talent. ^_^;;

Mhmm! You should try it sometime Hikaru-chan! It is very easy to do! ^^ The hardest part is trying to arrange the pictures... at least that's what I think ^^
