Which one do you think is better? The first season or the second season?

Haven is an hyperactive fangirl (that needs more sleep and likes talking in third person...) that has an odd obsession with Clef's hands. Her favorite word is Erk. Erk!

The second season was awesome. I love the scene where Hikaru sacrifices Umi and Fuu to the Dark Lord Ascot, then says she's going to destroy Cephiro.

Nevermind that. What's your favorite season, Batou-san?

Eh-heh, Casey-sensei makes lots of facetious comments. It's just a way to be humorous. Maybe Mokona Modoki could be the dark lord instead of Ascott?



I tend to like the first season more I think because it's funnier and not quite as dark as the second season.

Mou...totemo muzukashii yo. Ano...mee likies the first season. Quite funny it was...I especially liked the part in which Mokona interrupted Umi once & tried to hit him w/a mallet. XD. I also liked Presea's torture fantasies on Mokona. XD.

okay i own both seasons and honestly i liked the 2nd season better mainly because of Lantis because I absolutely love him!! ....and i didnt really like the plot of the first season because Princess Emeraude died...and she could of erased the pillar system from the very beginning....all though there would be no story line in that case senario.....

Noooo! Lantis is miiine! You can't have him! *Fights with Haine-chan*

That's an interesting point about Princess Emeraude not banishing the Pillar system like Hikaru did and the end of season 2. Maybe it just never occurred to her that it would be possible or more likely Emeraude could probably never believe that it would benefit Cephiro more than leaving it in place. Summoning the Magic Knights was in a sense suicide for her, so I'm sure Princess Emeraude was very distraught over the whole situation and not thinking clearly to begin with.

that might be true...but since she was distracted by her love for Zagato...maybe she didnt have enough strength to do that because she was too distracted.....maybe not....who knows??

It's one of those things that we'll probably never had answer for - whether Princess Emeraude had any other options beside summoning the Magic Knights. But for sure, if she hadn't summoned Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu there never would have been a story to tell.

Whoa, catfight over Lantis. He's definitely worth fighting over, the guy just might be even cooler than his older brother.

And to answer the question, I... really don't know. They're both great series, and the sequel has a better story and much more powerful atmosphere, but I do like the original's lighter tone and the way there's much more emphasis on teamwork between the Magic Knights, where the three girls all share the mantle of main character rather than just Hikaru. I'll give the edge to series two, but they're both really good and complement each other well.
