*falls on floor after being let go* Owwie!
Oh heres a piccy that i liked for some reason ![]() And this is one of the chapter pages of "Red Butterfly" (a mini manga of Fruits Basket) (sorry its not very big 'kay 'kay?? and here are veeeerrrryyy (*very) long summaries of chapter 108, 109 and 110 of Fruits Basket chapter that haven't been released in England yet (WOOW!) YOU SO GOTTA READ IT ALL!: Chapter 108: "The Next Spring" - What is the thing that will come and go in Tohru's heart...?! picking up from last time, Tohru is distraughtly wandering around the dojo recalling her conversation with Shigure and Rin. she's worried they may have discovered her feelings for Kyo and thus, why she was trying so hard to break the curse. (flashback) Rin: What's the most important thing to you? Tohru couldn't immediately answer. instead of her mother flashing in her mind, she thought of Akito telling her about Kyo's inevitable imprisonment. then she thinks back on the day when she packed the last of her things and left the apartment. as she was leaving, she could already feel her mother's presence diminishing even though she had lived there every day til that moment. so she swore on that day the person she would think of most in her heart would always be her mother so that the memories and promises they made would never be forgotten. she really believes holding on to that promise is what has saved her from breaking down thus far. as Tohru is still in a daze thinking, Shigure appears and grabs her by the hand, leading her away from the main house. he tells her that he didn't realize she was trying to break the curse as well (aside from Rin), so she asks him if he always knew it was going to end. he admits he didn't know for sure but that he had a feeling. he then goes on to explain that this was the first time the 12 shi were all alive at the same time. while the ladies "inside" regard this as a joyous occurence, he sees it as a possible end. he finally spills some of the beans and we get a small peak into what's been going on in his head. he tells her about the weakening of the blood bond over the ages: Kureno's freedom, Hatori's "bastardized" form; and even how Kureno himself mentioned he thought the end was near. Shigure remembers their conversation, in which it's pretty much confirmed, that Shigure involved Tohru with their family to create disturbances to further weaken the bond and break the curse. he goes on to tell her that Kyo will also have to take action if he doesn't want to be imprisoned for the rest of his life. it seems all 12 shi know what will happen to the cat but they all pretend like they don't or ignore the subject. (several chapters ago, Kagura confessed the real reason why she hung out with Kyo when they were younger and now Shigure is confirming that reason.) being one of the jyuunishi is a great burden: it's cursed and dark, and takes a great toll mentally, physically and emotionally. the only relief they have is knowing that there is still one person worse off than themselves: the cat. Shigure tells Tohru to ask the other jyuunishi about the imprisonment and if they look down on Kyo deep in their hearts.. she would be at a loss for words if she heard their answers. the cat lives for their sake and is destined to be left out of the group. this, however, is the last straw and Tohru pushes Shigure away in her classic "stop!" pose. she flashes back to her first meeting with Hatori and how he warned her not to get involved with the Sohmas. she realizes that she didn't understand what he meant back then and how she can never really be able to help ease their suffering. Shigure repeats that he thinks the curse will end soon and asks if she wants to save Kyo, if she has feelings for him. but this sends Tohru back into her guilt about breaking her vow to keep her mother number 1 in her heart. suddenly though, she remembers a man telling her she annoys him but can't remember who it is. Shigure says he wasn't making fun of her because Kyo appears holding the bag she dropped back at the dojo. he quickly tells Kyo that Tohru has been crying because of a fight with Rin and offers to take the bag to her. as he leaves, he says that's all he can tell her for now and to hang in there. Tohru is still crying and anguishing inside over her feelings for Kyo and her guilt for abandoning her mother but doesn't let on the truth to him. he comforts her by telling her that when she realizes what she has to do, there will still be time to do it. if she doesn't know what else to do though, it's ok to cry. her thoughts reveal that she wants to stay there longer but when the time comes for something to be done, she already knows what she must let go of.. Chapter 109: it is again the anniversary of Kyoko's death and the gang is going to visit her grave. this year, however, Kyo tells Tohru that he can't go which she smiles and accepts. he knows he is avoiding the situation and admits he doesn't have the courage to face everyone there. somehow though, he still ends up at the cemetary and remembers the previous year when Hana-chan asked him why he had such feelings of regret standing at Kyoko's grave. he starts to leave when he realizes it's been a long time since he's visited his own mother's grave. we see his memories as a child, with Shishou at his side, and his father saying cruel words.. like he can't come close to the grave because he has a guilty conscience. Shishou tells Kyo's father that he shouldn't say such things but his father just responds that Kyo doesn't understand.. but of course, he does. as he's walking, Kyo is stopped by someone.. Tohru's grandfather, who happens to be sitting on a bench waiting for his family to pick him up. Grandpa begins to thank Kyo for taking care of Kyoko, when he corrects himself and says Tohru. he then realizes that Kyo is most likely there to visit Kyoko's grave, thanks him, and asks him how Kyoko is doing and again corrects himself to say Tohru. Kyo remarks that it's a bad habit to keep referring to Tohru as Kyoko but Grandpa replies that it's his way of keeping Kyoko's memory alive for both him and Tohru. he then changes the subject and asks if Kyo knows why Tohru speaks so formally all the time, to which he replies he doesn't. Grandpa explains that it's Tohru's way of mimicking her father. at his funeral, she overheard relatives say she beared no resemblance to him and that they thought she was another man's child. he comments how it's absurd to think that a child wouldn't understand mean-spirited remarks such as those. we then see Tohru wondering if her mother will leave her as well, and hoping that if she acts like her father, her mother will stay. Kyo remembers talking to Kyoko and looking in on Tohru then realizes how lonely it must have been for her as a child. back at home, Tohru is hanging laundry and is surprised to see Kyo home so early. he abruptly asks her what her father was like and she admits that she doesn't really resemble him but their pattern of speech is supposedly similar. but she suddenly blurts that it's all a lie: that there is no resemblance and that she even secretly villified her father because she feared her mother would leave her to be with him, so she began speaking like him to get her mother's attention and not go away. Kyo sees through her babble and understands her reasons were just to mask her loneliness, which he finds endearing. as Tohru cries, Kyo reaches through the sheet and holds her shoulders. he tells Tohru that her mother understood and that she helped her through her grief. Tohru begins to apologize for being such a downer but he tells her it's ok and that she can vent as much as she wants. we then switch back to the end of Kyo's conversation with Grandpa.. he asks why Grandpa would tell him something so personal. Grandpa replies because it seems Tohru is a very important person to Kyo and that he should take good care of her. Kyo says there's no point in telling him that but of course, Grandpa just smiles in a knowing manner. inside the house, Tohru shows Kyo a picture of her father that she keeps in the same frame as her mother's. he thinks Grandpa's smile is just like Katsuya's.. Chapter 110: it's Golden Week and the gang is off from school. Yuki comments how it's unfortunate they didn't get to go away on vacation this year since everyone is busy and Tohru replies that even so, she hopes the nice weather will continue. Yuki agrees and notices that Shigure isn't around and wonders whether he's still sleeping even though it's past noon, but it seems that Shigure had already gone out early in the morning. as Tohru tells him this, she wipes the table and accidentally touches Kyo's hand. the two remember their moment from the previous day and both begin to blush furiously. like a spazz, Tohru apologizes and Kyo tells her not to worry and they start arguing over who will clean the table. Yuki, caught in the middle of such an awkward moment, suddenly "remembers" an errand he has to run and tells Tohru he'll be back before dinner. he quickly leaves the house, feeling like a child caught between his mother and her new lover. as he walks the streets, a woman sees him and mistakes him for Ayame. he tells her Ayame is his older brother and she realizes that Ayame couldn't be so young. back at home, Tohru and Kyo are a bundle of nerves because of each other. she offers to make some tea but he doesn't want any. he asks if she wants to go anywhere; she says "yes" (still in full spazz mode); he asks "where?"; she doesn't know so he says if she can't decide he's going to sleep. she blurts out they need eggs and he's disappointed that that's just grocery shopping but says if she decides she wants to do something else along the way to say so. she tells him being able to go out together makes her very happy, which causes him to bash his head on the wall because he's embarrassed at what a dirty old perv he feels like because she looked so cute saying it. at Uo-chan's job, Hana-chan tunes into Kyo's waves and comments he's becoming a dirty old man who's after Tohru. Uo brushes it off but Megumi asks if he should curse him anyway.. Yuki has continued wandering and ends up at his brother's store to give him the lady from the street's regards. when Yuki arrives, Aya bursts out in a dress and tells him not to hold back and hug him. he enters the shop and is greeted by Mine, who is as usual, wearing her maid outfit. Yuki is confused as to why she's in her "uniform" since the store is closed but she tells him that people should continue to wear their work outfits even if it is Golden Week. he thinks about how he can better explain his thoughts when Mine says she's going out to buy some tea. after she leaves, Aya ponders Yuki's sudden visit and surmises it must be because he ran into [Tohru] in the bath and needed to talk. Yuki tells him he's completely wrong which leaves Ayame baffled since he can't see any other reason for a surprise visit. he (Aya) must've completely forgotten that when Yuki called, he cut him off saying he should come see him instead. so he finally asks why Yuki came over and Yuki tells him it's because he ran into someone on the street who wanted him to extend their regards. Aya asks if it was a man or woman and Yuki tells him it was a woman. Oddly, however, she didn't want to give him her name but instead told him that she was also Student Council President during high school. Aya suddenly realizes who the woman is and freaks out. he begins to rant about how he has to go apologize and bring a gift (he picks up a rare Mogeta doll) but Yuki tells him that even if he went now, she'd probably be gone already. Aya calms down and says he's right and Yuki asks what's the deal with the woman, so Aya begins to tell their story.. as President, Aya thought it was only natural that many people would be attracted to his charm and dazzling personality. back then, the Student Council worked closely with the government of their sister school to plan events they held in conjunction. the President of the girls' school ended up liking Ayame but he was totally oblivious to her (and everyone else's) feelings, and admitted he had never even tried to empathize. when the school year was over and graduation was upon them, she confessed her feelings to him but he thanked her and dismissed her and kept walking. confused, she tried talking to him again so he asked her name, which of course, shocked her seeing as how they worked together throughout the entire school year. in his self-centered haze, he told her he must've forgotten because there was nothing interesting about her to distinguish her in his memory. Shigure attempts to cut him off but he misinterprets and continues his barage of idiotic comments that is totally destroying this young girl's heart. finally, Hatori stops him and tells him that he'd hurt her feelings. Aya didn't understand but always kept the incident in the back of his head and wondered how many other times he'd affected people so deeply. Yuki asks if Aya finally understood because of Mine, then asks if she's his girlfriend. he says there was never an official announcement but Yuki knows. Aya then tells how Mine appeared in his life one day and how happy he's been since. we see flashbacks of him confessing his feelings and how she replies that's she head over heels for him as well. he now finally understands how painful rejection would be had she not reciprocated and remembers the girl and how cruel he was. Aya really wishes he could apologize to the woman and wonders if she'd been hurt so badly that she'd lived unhappily all this time but Yuki reassures him by telling him she was probably ok since the two people with her were most likely her husband and child. he goes on to say that Ayame shouldn't assume that people are always unhappy and that they most likely have gone through many more good and bad things, and that if they've overcome them and are able to smile then they are an incredible person. Ayame thinks over what Yuki has said and deduces that he doesn't need to apologize to Yuki either. he's also impressed at how well Yuki understands others. out of nowhere, Yuki asks if Mine knows about the jyuunishi but Aya totally changes the subject. Mine returns with more than just tea.. she ran into Manabe who comes back with her to the store. Manabe comments how he didn't think Yuki was into this stuff but was sure he wouldn't mind if Machi was dressed up in one of the outfits. all four exchange childish banter and the three get Yuki to call her. on the street, all the cats in a pet shop window are going nuts over Kyo who is standing outside with Tohru. the bystanders can only assume that he must be some sort of cat trainer.. back at the shop, Machi clings to the Mogeta doll while Aya and Mine try to convince her to change into an outfit. Yuki tries to stop them but Manabe says things are just getting interesting.. PHEW-desu... OMG! You gotta read this: (Part of chapter 114:) This chapter includes a significant encounter between Rin, Tohru, and Kagura. The first thing we discover is that Rin draws quite well--Tohru walks in on her at Kazuma's while she's sketching, and Rin immediately shuts her sketchbook and says she's only doodling, but the picture is very nice. She starts to storm out, but stops and asks Tohru why she's stopped by. Tohru says that she felt bad about the last time they saw each other (end of chapter 107), and Rin asks if she was feeling awkward because she didn't want Rin to ask her about Kyo. She then asks (pretty gently, for Rin) if Tohru knows what's going to happen to Kyo, and how the Jyuunishi feel about him, and if perhaps she's pitying him because of all that. Tohru gets upset and tells Rin the truth about how she feels about Kyo--that he's the most important thing to her--at which point Kagura (who's been listening) intervenes and slaps her, telling her that she should be telling Kyo about those feelings, not a third party. Rin freaks out pretty badly at this and screams at Kagura, asking if she feels like she's such a good person that she can hit someone else. Kagura gets angry for a moment and then realizes (this isn't stated explicitly, but it seems obvious) that she's accidentally hit some of Rin's triggers about physical violence and abuse. She immediately embraces Rin and apologizes. Toward the end of the chapter (after we discover that Kagura forgot to pull her punch and actually knocked Tohru out), Rin and Kagura are sitting together and getting along as well as always--still bickering, but there don't seem to be any hard feelings on either side. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! KAGURA-SAN ACTULLY SLAPS TOHRU-KUN!!! AND TOHRU-KUN TELLS RIN-SAN HER FEELINGS FOR KYO-KUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I REALLY DIDN't KOW THAT EITHER!!! Oh, and i know why Isuzu-san's (the horse) nick name is "Rin"-san, because "Suzu" is japanese for "small bell" and "Rin" is the japanese word for the sound made by a bell Also, if you look at Rin-san's back (In volume 10 or 11) Rin-san has a scar on her. That was done by Akito-san ( HOPE IT HELPED!!! xx Well, thats about all i could find, but SOOOOOOOOOOO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Byebye xx -------------------- ![]() |

Speakin' of CCS movies, I happen to own the sequel to the first movie, which is "Fuuin Sareta Kaado" (The Sealed Card). It somewhat (at least to me) relates a bit...of the end of the 2nd season of CCS. (Not sure if you've heard of it Hikaru-san). However...when I did a quick comparison of English & Japanese...the Japanese one sounded WAY better & a bit funnier. (I esp. LOVE the way Tomoyo-chan laughs. It cracks me up). *Teehee*.

I have the 1st movie on video, but i've always wanted to see the Sealed Card. But, it not in England yet
I don't really mind Kero-sans voice, it does kinda suit him (abit), but i'm used to it being that way so, anyother way would make it sound weird. 'kay, i know i'm telling everyone about this but could people please visit my website i've made (its my first one i've ver made so don't kill me if you don't like it: Lisa's Website (it has sound so you'll need headphones or speakers) Byebye xx -------------------- ![]() |

Ooh, I love your new siggy, Kisa-chan! For those who may be wondering, her siggy's a poster from the new Eragon movie that's comin' out in December! *yay* It's taken from the awesome book by Christopher Paolini. Except they made one, HUGE mistake (for the movie)!! Arya--the only elf lady in the pic--is supposed to have thick, raven black hair (according to the book)! And what does she have? The exact opposite--thin, blonde hair! So, that's the only thing that kinda irked me about the choice of costumes.
