Indeed it has. Well, after this I'll be cleaning up the house for some visitors and going to Japanese bookstores. ^^

I'm thinking I've done all of my stuff for today and I'm going to try and take it easy for the rest of the day. I might watch some more anime or Harry Potter and probably play more World of Warcraft later.

I am going to go acquaint myself with the world of Suzumiya Haruhi for who knows what reason. And then, I shall annoy my friends about it tomorrow at school. Mwahaha...

I'm thinking that I started downloading Haruhi Suzumiya more than a year ago but never got past episode 5 and only watched episode 1. The shows seems really popular and highly critiqued (Best Anime of 2006) right now, so I'm not sure why the show didn't click with me.

I think it brainwashes people. But that's because I'm told by my friends not to watch it. Though the one who introduced me to that weird dance told me to watch it. I probably won't; it's sort of embarrassing. Perhaps just stick to light novels and manga.

Your thoughts?

Some weird dance? I guess that I never got that far with it. happy.gif;; The first episode was artistically styled to look like a home video which was intriguing to see, but the story just seemed a little bizarre. Kyuu told me it's different after that, but I never did find out ...

Hare Hare Yukai. And I learned how to do all of it except the finish last night in a half hour...I'm not sure if it shows up, when it shows up or anything like that. I think it's more than a little bizarre, even if I've only seen three minutes total from three parts of episode 1. XD Trying to load all three parts for a two hour drive at the same time doesn't work. ><

Hmm, there are a couple of bizarre animes that I've liked such as Excel Saga and Abenobashi, but the humor/comedy aspect of both of those was so good that I could just turn my brain off and try not to make sense of the story. Maybe the same approach would work with Haruhi Suzumiya?

I really think that's what you're supposed to do. Or else it'll cause brain damage and make you unable to think for some amount of time. >< I'll give the anime a shot over the summer, but not before graduation. The books before graduation, sure, the anime no.

Well, I have to go make salad and clean and stuff. It was wonderful talking again, and about "interesting" stuff. ^^; See you around.

Indeed it has been wonderful to chat again Shiro-chan, and save some salad for me too! happy.gif

I'll go and watch the 5 episodes I have and if I still have any gray matter left afterwards I'll try to post some comments in the anime section here.

I'm amazed that a person who willingly watched American Idol is worrying about making sense of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. As for not making sense, that's highly because the episodes aired in an anachronic order. I haven't made it through the entire thing yet, but I do like it ...

Your thoughts?

Hmm, I had wondered if the first episode was actually the ending and then the story was retold to show the events leading up to it. It's a plot device I'd seen used many times before to ward off the viewer/reader's anticipation of the climax so that they focus on the events at hand instead.

I'm thinking about sending out some stuff tomorrow. And I can think of a couple shows I've watched that are basically the main character narrating some past event. It works rather well in quite a few cases, especially if the events leading up the end don't seem quite right.

Yes, I know that already. The novels are like that also.

You put it as if my watching it is a great evil...

I'm thinking that I am entering the dance contest after all. Also, I'm reaaaally tired right now...and other than "yuuutsu" (憂鬱) "depression," the only other word in which three "u"s occur that I know is "fuuu" (風雨) meaning "wind and rain."

Thinking of what my new siggy and avatar should be, and also on how to start on my next fanfic (possibly a Sailor Moon one).

I'm thinking of what to do for my Kyon cosplay! By the way Docs-san, I may be there alone (or with friends), so if you want to find me...look through the billions of Kyon cosplayers to find a guy that looks like the guy (me) you saw in a yukata some time ago.

I was thinking about having a more reliable way to meet. Like exchanging cell phone numbers or setting up a time and place to meet. ^^;
