Thank goodness it was a 79. Which isn't that great either, but a 19 is horrible.
I'm thinking of how I guess there's no equivalent for "Hai-chan" (from the name "Hydra") in English but "Hydie"...which sounds absolutely horrible. But why is it that the subtitles in the official release dub of UFO Princess Valkyrie call Shiro "Spot" and Kuro "Blackie"? "Hydie" at least conveys the original thought of "Hai-chan" and "Blackie"'s a good translation, but "Spot"? Meh. You? -------------------- |

I'm thinking of how annoyed I'll be if anything is missing from my stuff after getting back from the hotel. The staff was less than competent, and didn't seem trustworthy at all. Not that I'm bitter from the five hour wait for a room... Pfft.

I'm thinking that it might be the one downtown, at the convention center?
If that's the one, I stayed there one night a few years ago but wasn't there long enough to really make a good judgment on the hospitality. The flight I was supposed to be on got canceled late at night and I was not about to spend a night sleeping in the airport. So I called around on the cel phone and took whatever room I could get. It was about 1am when I got to the hotel and about 6am when I left and for those 5 hours I got charged over $300 without a breakfast and not including the cab ride back and forth from the airport. Fortunately it all went on the company expense report, lol. The cost was the only real memorable thing about the stay at that hotel ... and the view out the window was rather iccky too. Then I could compare that to the Amari hotel I stayed in when I was in Bangkok, Thailand. I had a suite on an executive floor (key access required) in a very new building ... I could tell by how nice the bathrooms were ... with great views of the city from 32 floors up. The room service was delicious and the hotel also had four restaurants with choices of Western, Thai, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine. the hotel was in the middle of a large market district and I just had to step out the front door into the open air street markets where vendors sold everything imaginable. There were several large modern shopping malls close by too which was nice because it got very warm in the afternoon. All these goodies for about $75 a night ... and a limousine ride to the airport the day I had to fly out. Actually, in general the hospitality in the Far East shames to no end that which we get here in America. -------------------- |

I'm thinking of how I have to ace the Biology and Calculus final to (hopefully) keep my honors status...how horrible this end of the year is turning out grade-wise. v.v
I'm also thinking about how I've pretty much been at my old neighbor's house some 70 miles away for four hours and forty minutes and pretty much left to my own devices the whole time. *sighs* I did enjoy watching The Prestige and try to figure out what the heck was happening (though I didn't start from the beginning) and playing the piano for an hour and forty minutes thereafter, but for the last forty minutes I've been surfing the internet...I want a place to watch sola...! And I'll change my signature and avatar and...stuff... Your thoughts? -------------------- |
