Me gusta el libro. = Imi place cartea. = I like the book.
Me gustan los libros. = Imi plac cartele. = I like the books.

Why does the verb conjugate according to the direct object, not the subject? ...now the one in Romanian makes sense, I suppose, since the "imi" is dative "to me [the books are pleasing]," but is it the same in Spanish? Hmmm...

...it would be rather useful if I knew the adjective for "American" in Romanian...I very well can't say "sint englez"...and it would be strange to say "vorbesc englezeste, dar nu sint englez," though I could say "sint din America," maybe. >>

I'm thinking of deciding whether I liked Shuffle! or whether it was...really...interesting... ...I see the likelihood of localization as very slim...

On another thought, I amazed another group of students with my super-powered glasses (which often gives rise to the notion that I have x-ray vision), and by the fact that I have two pairs of such super-powered glasses. I want to know how often cataract in infant/toddler stages occurs, because I haven't seen another person at our school with bifocals...

Well then, the likelihood of congenital cataract in the US is 1.2-6.0 cases per 10,000, so that's between 0.012% and 0.06%. Now I need to find out of if there's such a thing as developing not from birth but from an early age, since I wasn't diagnosed at birth...

I'm thinking of what might be going wrong with my computer...I installed a game yesterday that took up 1.9 GB, and left me with 740 MB...this morning, when my friend is over, I check on the space and find out that I have 2.16 GB again. How in the heck did that happen? And yes, the game is still installed and works, so it's not that the computer uninstalled it by itself...

Secondly, I find out my laptop can't display Japanese characters anymore...I have a suspicion it has something to do with the game...>>

Inspired by Allen Mendelbaum's verse translation, I have endeavoured (why does this word not look right without the "u"?) to create a prose translation of the Aeneid. Yes, I will have a lot of fun with this...perhaps I'll place it under the Fanfiction/Fanart section for evaluation. Forgive the literal, weird soundingness of the text when I post it up...I'm still inexperienced in understanding Vergil's mood, so it's just a scholarly translation...
