It's easier to keep track on this forum, but I know what you mean. Also, this forum does some weird things too. It says someone's online, then when you go to a topic, it'll say they're offline. o.O; Have you ever experienced that, PBM?

Yupperz, I've seen forums do that before and not just this one. I'm guessing that it updates only every 15 minutes to avoid putting unnecessary load on the server. I've never been able to figure out how to change that setting though PBM.

Yeah... Even with my interest in video work, I'm still leery of going to Blu-Ray. Maybe in another year or two, it'll be worth it.

Nopers, due to its non-volatile nature. EEROM's or flash memory also have a limited number of write cycles so if you use them often enough, you can wear them out PBM.

Some of the digital controllers our company makes have run into issues of EEPROM memory failing due to write cycle limits being reached over a long period like 2-3 years. We've also had a number of problems resulting from handling and resulting electrostatic discharge causing failures. So at least in an industrial environment, I still have grave concerns about the volatility of EEPROM based storage PBM.

Hehe, I used to love to sit outside at lunchtime and bask in the sunlight. I love the warm feeling of it as long as it's not scorching hot, and yes ... it does make me very sleepy.

The digital controllers we make are something we build and program in house and the EEPROM chips themselves are handled by our people at the manufacturing level, so ESD is a problem for us. And sometimes our customers are curious people and take things apart that they shouldn't and ... ooops. ;;

The PBM has done an "ooops!" recently?
