Erm, how did it go Docs-san? I'll feel really sad if no one says anything about the con. v_v

I'll say something about the con then.

I feel really bad that many things at Anime Expo were very poorly organized and there was a lack of communication between staff and attendees. Also, it was pretty horrible that we had to wait at least two hours before the SKIN concert and the SOS Brigade Invasion Tour started without even knowing what the delay was about.

Despite all the delays and the 'I don't know wtf is going on" in general-ness, I still had an awesome time. Saturday I got to see one of my favorite groups preform in a small setting and got to ask them a few questions and I got to hang out with Shiro-chan for awhile, even if it was just standing in line. lol Sunday was outstanding however, got to see another of my favorite singers and got an autograph from the group I saw on Saturday. ^__^

Now, I kept saying to someone I wanted an autograph from Miss Hirano.

I feel bad for all the people who waited in line for hours who wanted an autograph of some sort from the SOS Brigade voice actors and didn't get one because of an autograph limit.

I feel good that I didn't wait in line for Miss Hirano's autograph on a copy of Luminous Arc to find out they were only signing posters they were giving out to the first 50 or 100 people or something within those numbers.

And I feel bad that I missed the Haruhi Dance Contest gathering two hours after the contest where all of us contestants could dance together (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8sGUVSCg0o)...it looks so fun...! And I wish I could've been in that video, but alas, we had gone to the Savage Genius performance. The gathering started at 1:00, the performance started at 1:00. No fair.

I feel good that the performance was way worth it. Plus I got to see, talk, and hang out with Docs-san for an hour or so.

Aw...bye. See you later!

I feel stupid that I wanted to cry when I saw that video 'cause I wasn't in it. o.o

I'm feeling hopeful that the ASOS Brigade website will post some sort of official video of the contest because I want to see me dancing...;-;

I feel funny that on AX forums, I referred to Minori Chihara as "Miss Chihara," and here Aya Hirano as "Miss Hirano."

Just to make me happy, I'm going to say one thing.

Miss Gotou opened the event wonderfully. Ufufu.

Really?
i feel bad that in retrospect I think it'd have been better if I had stayed for the AOS thing but I did get to ask Aa (Savage Genius' singer) where her glasses were. She said she had her hat so she didn't need her glasses or something like that. Not really an answer but yeah. >.>

Because she opened the event with Koi no Mikuru Densetsu (which of course she has to sing with Mikuru's nervousness), she said that she must've surprised all of the staff. XD

I feel like gathering a bunch of Haruhis at some con and do the dance. ;-;

I also feel like I want to try Otakon next year...

I feel amused that Shiro-kun would suggest such a thing. And I could probably go to Otakon next year. *cough*

Docs, I see that you can relate to my feelings about AX too. *huggles* I feel bad about not being able to go there too and see you guys, but I feel good that you two had a great time there. Anime cons are so much fun, I just wish that they weren't so expensive, lol. There are always a few screw-ups at anime cons and I've seen them at Otakon too. This year is out for me, but I'm thinking that maybe I'll be able to go to Otakon again in 2008, so if any of you are serious about going to that next year it would be fun to meet there. happy.gif

Anyone knowledgeable of the Baltimore Convention Center area? Cleanliness, safety issues, compatibility with non-locals, etc. etc.? I'm seriously considering going to Otakon next year...

I feel...hungry. I need to eat breakfast.

The convention center is in the downtown business district near the inner harbor so it is a reasonably nice area away from any rough neighborhoods. If you were to wander a 1/2 mile or so from there in any direction, you'd likely find yourself in an undesirable/unsafe location. So for lodging I'd suggest either drive into town from a hotel in the suburbs or stay at a downtown hotel, there are many 1-2 blocks from the convention center. Parking didn't seem to be in short supply from my experience but you should expect to pay ~$25/day to park. One thing to watch out for is baseball games. The Camden Yards ballpark is right next to the convention center so if the Orioles are in town that night, expect a traffic nightmare getting out of town at the end of the day. Otakon planners purposefully attempt to coordinate with the baseball schedule so that this doesn't happen, but they aren't always 100% successful. The convention center itself is very clean and in good shape, or at least it was the last time I was there in 2004. The main showrooms are all on a level below ground, the main lobby is at ground level, and various smaller rooms used for video viewing, panels, etc. are on the level above that. If you have any issues with stairs or escalators then you may find navigating around the center an unpleasant experience. They do have decent security and will always inspect badges when you enter from outside. I do not know what the capacity of the convention center is, but I personally found Otakon to be very crowded, especially in the dealer's room. In recent years they have been limiting attendance numbers I think.

I'll have to see how much money the summer job I'm working // the babysitting of the disasters cousins gives me, but I'd like to go too. Heck, I'll give up ACEN if I have to because going somewhere new-ish and meeting up with you guys would be great.

... and, I feel nervous because my first work day is Saturday. x.x;

I guess the surrounding environment sounds close enough to that of the Los Angeles Convention Center, though I've never been to either. I'll check out the BCC and Otakon forums etc. further over the course of the year until Otakon 2008.

I feel amazed that progress through The Historian is going pretty quickly.
