Basically, you can find this on tons of other boards as the "Give a word using the last letter of the previous word" game.



In Japanese, it would be a syllable game; name a word that starts with the last syllable of the last game. However, if you name a word that ends with the syllable "n", you lose, since no word starts with the single syllable "n" (but words can begin with "Na" "ni" "nu" "ne" "no"...).



For example:



Word (Translation) - Syllable breakdown



Anata (You) - A-NA-TA

Tatakai (Fight - noun) TA-TA-KA-I

Inu (Dog) - I-NU

NUURENBERUGU (Nuremberg) - NU-U-RE-N-BE-RU-GU

Guu (...guu...) - GU-U

Ushi (Cow) - U-SHI

Shito (Emmissary) - SHI-TO

Tou (Tower) - TO-U

Udon (Udon) - U-DO-N - You lose and the game's over, or you start over.



But we're not playing that. In English, it's a letter game, and you can't lose since there's no letter that doesn't have at least one word that starts with it...

If the word you give ends in an "n" you lose. This is because no word in Japanese begins with the single nasal consonant ん (n).
