Umm, I'm not sure if I got all of that Batou-san, but I am familiar with reinstalling and upgrading the windows OS. Being the family computer geek, all of the IT responsibilities fall on me, so when the kiddies killed their compy last year (it lost the windows.cfg directory) I got to put it back together for them. Only when you start to dig into a reconstruction project like that do you figure out all of the hidden and unplanned pitfalls of the project. Things like no OS CD, loss of drivers and reformatting the hard drive aren't always an issue, but sometimes they become necessary. If there isn't any slop in the schedule for the unexpected, then for sure you're going to be late. My company also has a lot of yoyo's looking at the world through rose colored glasses ... the only problem with that is that they can't see Mr. Murphy pointing his pistol at the back of their heads. >_>
