This is just more of a stating your opinion when it comes to RPG'ing in message boards.

But...to me...I think...for me...it's sometimes easier for me to be my own character at times. Reason...most of the time, I can somehow get into the character's head & have the storyline flow exactly or nearly as I have set it up to be. Same thing goes with creating stories at times.

There are both pros and cons of making characters either way. Using a previously created character makes things much easier at the beginning because anyone that has seen the anime or read the manga that they are from will already have a well developed concept of what the character's personality and philosophy of life are like. On the downside, a player wouldn't be free to deviate very far from their character's precreated reality. For example, I couldn't easily portray MKR Hikaru as a police officer. This is not the case with an original character. With an OC, literally, the universe is the limit and I can make up any sort of person that I can imagine. The downside with an OC is that no one has ever seen or heard of them before. The other players must rely solely on the information that I supply in my character's profile to interpret how my character will react and behave. So an OC requires much more work on the player's part at first than a pre-created stock character would. I've played both myself and really don't have any preference either way.

Hi there Yumi, and welcome to the MKR forum. To add a signature image, you'll need to go into your user control panel and set up your signature in a similar manner that you did for your avatar. If you're having trouble and need to ask a question, please PM me and I'll do my best to help. If you're really stuck, just give me a link to the image and I'll set it up for you. The image needs to be hosted somewheres on the web and you should have the site owner's permission to link to it. You cannot use images on your PC's hard drive.
