Most people who are familiar with Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle have probably met the character Chun Hyang already. And like most characters in TRC, she was part of a previous CLAMP manga originally written in 1992 right before MKR. The Legend of Chun Hyang was based on a Korean legend about a young maiden with the same name. In the original legend Chun Hyang was extolled for her stainless virtue, but CLAMP's Chun Hyang is somewhat different. For me it was easy to see her as a Hikaru predecessor. She's a miniature 14 year old that looks like she is 11. She's full of endless energy and is proficient in the martial arts. However, Chun Hyang lacks Hikaru's bashfulness around guys and isn't afraid to call one a pervert if he gets too friendly with her. So she has a streak of Umi in her too. ^_^;; The story is very well written and switches back and forth from angsty to funny and back again. There were several moments when I started to get really teary-eyed reading it. I was shopping for other manga when I happened to see The Legend of Chun Hyang, and I'm really happy that I picked it up because I've enjoyed it very much. ^_^
