I like anything that has to do with Ascot, really...so I can't tell a specific spot...
...and...let me explain Kami and Shin, if you will allow me... Kami is the native Japanese reading of the top right Kanji in Zagato's avatar...while Shin is the Japanese derivative of the original Mandarin "Shen" (Pronounced like the English word "shun"). This is due to the fact that the Japanese script is based on the Chinese, as all documents were written in Chinese, while these documents were spoken in Japanese... So if you want to use Kami, it's most likely going to be by itself, "Kami-sama", etc. Shin will be used with most combinations, like "Shinkan" in Zagato's avatar. And Kamui, which is actually "KA-MO-I" is strange...the symbol for "Kami" takes the pronunciation "Kamo" and the second symbol takes "I". If "Kami" appears as the second character in a word, it will take the pronunciation "Shin" or "Gami" depending on the preceding Kanji. An example of the use of the original Chinese would be "Mashin" ("Moshen" in Mandarin), and an example of the Japanese would be "Megami", "Goddess", but notice that in Mandarin, this would be "Nuushen". ...if you REALLY want to find out more about this, learn what the On and Kun readings are on Kanji, and about how to use them. ![]() "In the end, I'm glad I made such good friends..." - Kawada Shougo, Battle Royale |
