Fighter and Diplomat. Options

The two episodes in the second season where Fuu is held captive by Lady Aska, were probably the best demonstration of Fuu's talents as both a fighter and a diplomat. Fuu and Aska have personalities that are as different as any two characters can possibly get. The calm and reasonable Fuu versus the undisciplined hothead Aska. Fuu never lets the antics of the little princess ruffle her feathers a bit. She lures Aska into an archery match that Fuu knows Aska could never win. And afterwards Fuu singlehandedly defeats Aska's Ninja backup plan, making Ferio's rescue mission somewhat humorous - surely she could of escaped unaided from Aska's ship.



To also go along with that, Fuu is also able to make Lady Aska understand certain truths about the Pillar of Cephiro. Lady Aska would have to sacrifice many precious elements of her own life, including her affection for Sang Yung to become the Pillar of Cephiro. Indeed, shortly after Fuu's departure Lady Aska backs down and relenquishes her quest to become the Pillar.



War is not only about fighting. Diplomacy is a vital key as well, if the intent is to ever end the war. Fuu's skill at both is truly admirable and Cephiro is lucky to have her on their side. ^^
