The Mashins in Tsubasa Chronicles Options

CLAMP really does love their crossovers don't they? At first the only thing I though was connected to Tsubasa Chronicles in MKR was Mokona.

Recently though, I realized that the Mashin were there too. They have (sort of)similar roles in this one too, only they're called "Kudans". But they are each assigned to one of the three main characters in TC; Windam to Fay, Celes to Kurogane, and Rayearth for Syaoran.


Why does that make me squeal like a fangirl?

I just saw wikipedia, and there's a lot of MKR characters in Tsubasa Chronicles:

Debonair, Emeraude, Tatra, Tetra, Lantis, Eagle Vision, Geo Metro, Sang Yung, Primera, Hikaru(though tha's sort of a lie, since it's the Hikaru from Angelic Layer), Umi's parents, Chanan, Caldina...

omg. I better start watching that anime again.

Yes, they appear in their beast forms early on in TRC. This was also the point where I realized the duality of the main characters in TRC with those of MKR:

Syaoran = Hikaru (Syaoran even has an alternate like Nova)
Kurogane = Umi
Fai = Fuu

and of course Mokona is Mokona and he can talk like in the original MKR manga. Also Sakura can be loosely associated with Princess Emeraude. One downside of this duality is that it's very likely the heroines of MKR will not show up anywhere in TRC since they are already so strongly represented in the TRC main characters. However one thing that I am intrigued about it how closely the TRC plotline will follow the MKR plotline - will Sakura and Syaoran be forced into the same fatal destiny as Hikaru and Emeraude in MKR? That might not necessarily happen because there are differences between TRC and MKR and you brought up one of them already - Lady Debonair. In TRC she was powerful but not an evil being and did not have to die at the conclusion of her subplot.

Which episode was I last on? ;;; It's been a year since I last watched it...

Personally, I think CLAMP really likes to pull on our leg with all these crossovers x_X;; I think it amuses them...

But you know; I recently just saw the clips where the Mashins appear in TC, and for some reason I got angry... I was thinking, "Hey! That's not your guardian, that's Hikaru's!". Also, I think Rayearth looks really weird without his fiery mane, he looks less mighty....

As for whether the plot will be parallel, I doubt it. The thing is, they're not just crossing over from MKR, but from almost all of their different manga, so I think only certain aspects of each of the plots will be applied. Personally, I'd really be squealing if Hikaru, Umi, or Fuu appear; though I agree with you that that's probably not going to happen. TT^TT Of course, if I did see one of them in there; I'd probably be squealing till my throat couldn't handle it anymore.

It's such a weird feeling, I feel proud whenever I see the MKR characters in crossovers... :/
